I suppose being a normal god or a mundane shinki isn't going to do anyone any favours. [Since gods seem to rely a lot on followers here, they need to make themselves either reliable or memorable, or both so that they stick in people's minds as much as a Far Shore resident can. An average god is going to vanish from memory quickly.
