[Natsuru doesn't consciously recall what's so familiar about all of this in the moment. She's too focused on being Responsible and trying her best to get all of these girls (Wendy included!) to safety. But the pat on her hand and the calming tone of Wendy's voice help her anxiety, just like they had the last time. Arguably, the most time they'd spent together so far was when Natsuru definitely needed looking after. It's easy to slip back into that pattern of behavior without even realizing it.
