Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki



The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

[ It's a shame he didn't have much for the way of muscles. Though when you were thin enough, it could look close enough to having something. With the t-shirt that has its sleeves rolled up to the shoulder, the most of a peek that Grell was getting was his arms and a bit of the abdomen between the bottom of the shirt and the belt on his jeans. ]

... Vandal?

[ It's probably sad, but it was long enough ago that this doesn't jog any particular memory right now. ]

I mean, this is for training more than anything else. I can't really say there's much about enjoyment or expectations past getting better at stuff.

[ Though he doesn't move, Shizuo at least opens his eyes to look up and over at the- How is there so much red even when his shades tint the color of everything towards a purple shade? ]

Besides, it doesn't even look like anything's wrong with your makeup.

It's almost adorable how naive your mindset tends to be.

[ Leaning over to plant her cheek atop an open palm, her lips push up into a half-smile with it. That almost-compliment might have her batting her as a bit! ]

Still a vandal, indeed. But adorable. I'm pleased you approve.

Who's approving of anything? I just said that nothing looked wrong with it.

[ But with this 'still' and 'tends to be' stuff being thrown about, Shizuo's thrown off and confused. Which is why he starts to prop himself up on his elbows. ]

Sorry, have we met? I'm only asking because you're saying things like we have. You're not mixing me up with my brother, are you?

[ Shizuo, no. Don't let her know that there are two of you. ]

[ Having been prepared to riposte that point he's made, her mouth is left agape, as he hits her with that question. Jaw easing, lips sneering just so, she is VERY UNIMPRESSED - and then, confused?

Head lulling to the side, she has to think about that for a moment. ]

What, you've a twin brother about here, somewhere?

[bartenderizing]

I mean, there's no way of knowing if we're twins or not...

[ But then he remembers that the person called him a vandal. Which sounds less like Izumo and more like him. Oh. Did they meet before? ]

If what happened was done with fire, then it was him. If it was someone really strong, then I guess it's my bad. I try to keep my strength under control, but it's a work in progress.

[ Initially, that seems like a very absurd statement, but it would make sense, considering their memory loss. ]

Huh. So, what you've explained to me is that you've a doppelganger, and set of you are bad boys?

[ YEP, that's got her a little bothered! A hand hovers to her cheek with a lopsided smile, its pointy teeth pressed into to her bottom lip. ]

Ah, but wait--. [ It's a rather fleeting fantasy, as she straightens up to give him a good scolding. ] That was most certainly you, then! [ Shizuo will have a hand towel tossed at him. ] However could you manage to forget me?!

[bartenderizing]

I wouldn't say... uh.

[ Shizuo cuts himself off because of the look the redhead had on their face. Even more, what's with the teeth? Wait, now he's being scolded and has a hand towel on his shoulder. ]

Sorry, I guess? A lot of stuff must've happened since we've met. Do you remember when it was...?

[ Then again, all of this red is starting to seem familiar. ]

[ Pointedly, Grell puts her hands on her hips, huffing! ]

I do, actually. You misunderstood me and decided to take your frustration out on one of my ample hills! [ Her gaze will venture wayward, then. ] Not that they're mine, anymore, so it isn't as though it matters-- but I'm certain there's at least some poor Irish bloke upset about it!

[bartenderizing]

Is that so?

[ It must've been early in his arrival, if that was the case. Unfortunately for Grell, a lot of her comments have bled and been associated with someone else that kept on top of him with blatant advances. ]

Guess I can't really do much past apologizing. So, uh, sorry. It was harder to control myself back when I first arrived.

[ When he apologizes, Grell momentarily purses her lips - and closes her eyes to turn her head away! ]

Well. I can't say that I really cared about that. I do, however, mind that my presence had been so easily forgotten! [ She tilts he head to peek back towards the blond. ] Seems that I'll need to make more of an impression on you this time!

[ Something tells Shizuo that he's about to have more trouble in his future. The kind that the eyepatch guy was bringing about. Which is why he casuallly raises his hand in the universal 'stop' hand gesture. ]

That's really not necessary. I'd rather you not go out of your way.

Oh, but I think it is, darling. [ Lacing her fingers over a knee, she's back to that grin of hers. ] Would be a pleasure, besides.

[bartenderizing]

[ Why are those teeth a thing? Then again, it's not the weirdest thing he's seen here. That honor would probably go to the person with a single dragon foot. ]

Yeah, I can guess who's pleasure it'd be for. I've gotta pass, what with there being enough weirdos in my life.

[ He's already got Eyepatch to deal with. This is what you get for being attractive and a danger magnet. ]

[ Head lulling to the side with a snicker, her shoulders hunch up and sway back and forth. ]

I admire your optimism, but I hadn't presented you with an option, I'm afraid.

[ It feels like this is a sign of the kind of troubles he was going to have in the future. Maybe this wouldn't happen as much if he talked with a higher tone and more upbeat, or charismatic, as Izumo.

... Ah, that sounds like too much work, though. ]

Right, lemme try it this way. I'd rather you not try to make any kind of impressions on me.

[ Or press up against him at all, really. ]

Oh~. [ Now, she can't help but laugh. Wasn't that the same thing? ]

I'll take that into consideration, but I'd rather not make any promises!

Try to respect people's wishes.

[ He thought it was more of a direct way of saying 'no' than before. Grell knows she's not the only one at this point, what with that 'enough weirdos' line. ]

I really don't like violence, so I'd rather not lose my temper because you won't listen. The last thing I want is to hurt anyone.

I can't say that I would mind it, in the least.

[ Be it a warning, or a threat, his words only interest her more! Grell's only had a glimpse of his capabilities, and they've left her awfully curious. ]

It isn't healthy to restrain such inclinations, besides. You'll inevitably find yourself off far worse... [ And, oh, she's seen it happen. ]

[bartenderizing]

Isn't it more important that I mind?

[ Why are these the people he attracts? It couldn't just be a nice woman with a strong and firm personality, and wouldn't try bringing out the worst in him. ]

I'm better for not letting that kinda stuff control me the best I can. No matter how things went the last time we met, that's not who I am or who I want to be. So what you're suggesting is probably the worst thing of all.

Oh, but is it?

[ Chuckling through those jagged teeth, she peers at him over the red frames of her spectacles, brow raised high. ]

You'll just snap one day, you know. How do you think that would go?

[bartenderizing]

[ Unfortunately, or fortunately if you were Grell, what she said played right into one of the fears that Shizuo always had. That and what could happen when he's just not being careful enough. ]

The hell makes you think I'm gonna snap, huh? After I've said that I hate violence, you're just trying to push me into it.

[ Which really kinda pisses him off. Easy to tell when is voice is a little deeper and rougher- something you don't hear from someone else
with a voice like that. ]

[ Oh, no, Sebastian certainly never sounded like that. No matter how she tried to irk him, he managed to maintain his composure fairly well. While she liked that most about him, that rough sort of voice IS a bit sexy... Now, she's a bit torn! ]

You may say that you hate violence, but you're just so very good at it, aren't you! What, every time you get upset, you'll intend to push these inclinations further down~?

[ Grell ticks her tongue. ]

I say you will because I know it.

[bartenderizing]

[ She'll just have to get excited for Shizuo's voice for what Sebastian doesn't do with it. Grell will get emotions and swearing, which was an inevitability for Shizuo. Especially when someone was riling him up. ]

I don't give a shit about what I'm good at. If I don't like it, then I don't.

[ Besides, those inclinations meant taking a turn that went past violence- He loses awareness of what his body is doing when angry enough, or caught too far up in a fight. ]

[ There's a delightful sort of surprise that takes her features, when he curses at her like that! Certainly unexpected - and entertaining! Fingers splaying across her lips, she giggles. ]

I'm afraid you'll have to prove it to me, my dear. Experience has taught me quite differently.

[bartenderizing]

[ Uh oh. Shizuo doesn't know what that expression is about or what started it, but he's starting to get the feeling that he should abort this. ]

Yeah, well you've never experienced me.

[ Shizuo, don't say it like that. Ah, it's too late and he doesn't even realize what he's said. Instead he's trying his best to reign himself back in by getting a cigarette started. It's the best he could do for where they were right now. ]

I really don't have to prove shit. I'm just not gonna snap or whatever else you seem to think I'll do.
