Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki



The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

Shinki Training

[I mean. He's there but Fushimi frankly doesn't give a damn about any of this beyond how borderlines work so you can approach him for chatting but don't expect much?

Unless you like trying to talk to an antisocial nerd on his phone, that is. It does happen.]

Physical Training

[And here is where Fushimi is shining. His shinki form is a sword, but he also has his own skills, mostly knife throwing (that he remembers). He's found few dummies away from the majority of the people and is just shredding them as he moves around for different angles, works on dropping the knifes into his hands from their sleeve holsters or grabbing them from the ankle and waist belts he's got, and mixing throwing them with his non-shinki abilities.

So if you see him throwing flaming knives into one dummy followed by more knives that seem to make a forcefield or are strangely sharp and glowing blue, that's normal.]

[ That is not normal. But it is very cool. And Nanako, who'd wandered in here while looking for Niles, has stopped to watch with wide eyes and her mouth dropped open as daggers go flying into a target, gleaming with different colored... is that magic? ]

[Fushimi almost misses his next throw at that voice but he manages to keep his control. He does stop, though, and go to get the daggers back.]

Tch, you should know better than to surprise someone with a weapon.

[ She immediately looks sheepish at the chide, ducking her head. ]

Oops. Sorry. I forgot. Are you okay?

But I'm okay, too! I was behind you. [ Obviously that makes a difference here. ] You're really good at that! Is it hard?

Shinki Training

[Let it never be said that Ann isn't one to try. It's not hard to see that Fushimi isn't interested in the training itself, but Ann has been so determined to overcome her own initial difficulties with drawing a Borderline and handling other shinki responsibilities that she can only assume any hesitance is due to a lack of confidence-- or something else of that nature.

She curiously approaches Fushimi when she takes a break from her own training with Shion, head tilted slightly.]

You don't want to get some practice in?

No. I'm just here in case they give us any useful information.

Doesn't seem to be anything more than we learned last month, at least not so far.

[Color her unimpressed, on that note.]

They don't seem to be very free with the information around here.

It's a miracle there hasn't be some sort of Heaven's Anonymous formed, if you ask me.

Maybe we should be the ones to start it.

[She pouts a little, folding her arms across her chest.]

I mean, don't get me wrong, my god and the other shinki I work with are both great, but this place leaves a lot to be desired.

[Since his arrival, Munakata has attended each wave of new arrivals and usually observes shinki training and physical training. Sometimes, he even participates. However, this is the first he's seen of those familiar throwing knives from Fushimi's video on the BBS.

He steps forward.]

[He approaches wearing an unreadable smile to mask his curiosity, giving the younger man a quick once-over.

Speaking softly enough that only the two of them could hear,]

So you're a hidden weapons expert, it seems. How remarkable.

And practicing your blue powers as well. How is that going?

Throwing knives. I just feel more comfortable having them hidden.

[And he's not wondering why that is.

He shrugs.]

It's mostly good for forcefields right now. Maybe someone else could do more with it, or maybe I could with practice.

[Nothing wrong with that. Probably good for undercover work.]

There shouldn't be many who wield this power as freely as I can.

[But it's good to know what this young man is capable of, so far as his blue powers are concerned.]

You wouldn't happen to be in possession of a sword with a gold hilt encased in a blue scabbard, would you?

[He'd just unlocked Enomoto's recently but knows there was some time before Enomoto suddenly received it. Reisi has some theories about the blue and red powers he's seen so far, and finds it interesting that Fushimi has both.]

[While he didn't answer it himself, Shun certainly didn't miss that video on the network a while ago in which Fushimi demonstrated his powers. They'd looked too close to Reisi's to be a coincidence, and with that guy he ran into the other day with the same kind of seemingly standard-issue sword, Shun considers it safe to say that Mikoto and Tatara probably aren't the only people here with some kind of a connection to Reisi.

So for a while, he just watches Fushimi's practice from a distance. Whenever he next needs to retrieve his knives is when Shun chooses to approach.]

I've seen plenty of fire users around here before, but that's a new one. [Technically not a lie, given he's never seen Reisi use his power combined with a weapon yet, nor done it himself when wielding his vessel form.]

[At least he was smart enough to wait until he was done with this round.]

Tch, as far as I know there's maybe one other person who can use the blue.

[Shun notes that, given to his knowledge there are probably two other than Fushimi. He's never seen Eno use it, but the sword indicates a link there, and Shun would be very surprised if the power wasn't it.

He lets none of that awareness slip on his face, though, merely raising a brow slightly.]

"The blue" seems like a vague name, though if neither of you know the nature of it I suppose that's all you can ask for. [While he's here, though...] I saw you using fire as well on that video you mentioned having this power on. How many more of the fire users here have you met? [Shun has a vague tally, but it'd be nice to compare it.]

[Nor is Shun fazed by being called a stalker, because as far as he's concerned all that means right now is that he's kept a close eye on information openly offered.]

So not that many. And I'm guessing whoever else it is can use the "blue" can't use fire as well. [He's never seen Reisi do it, and Eno is still an unknown factor, but Shun hasn't seen him use anything at all.]

He also just gestures to the gathered crowd.]

[He sighed, watching the others clumsily swing weapons.]

I simply wanted my own powers back. If this is what it is to be a god...

[The irony was not lost on him that this was not how he thought godliness would be.]
