Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki



The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

Likely so. [ Cupping a hand to her cheek, the other folds over her waist. ] Why, just earlier today, I met a demon child that harnessed a deathscythe! A demon and a reaper! Also, did not require glasses.

[ Well, demon child certainly is familiar enough of a descriptor. ]

Ah, you've met Emizel. He's definitely the most unusual case of reapers. Glasses would be the last thing that I'd expect from him.

... Though it really looks like you're imagining something completely unrelated to what we're talking about.

[ Well, isn't she perceptive?

That hand at Grell's cheek pulls away curiously, and she's left giggling, at that. Instead, she'll tap a finger to her cheek. ]

I think he's rather cute, is all. I should very much like to have a child, and he's a young reaper, you know! Leaves me a tad bemused, I suppose.

[ She didn't even need mind reading abilities to tell that something else was being though of. Not when Grell is so open in how she uses her body language. Which is only proven with that whole child thing. ]

Pretty sure you can't adopt him. I'm not sure if it's his apparent age or the fact that he's both a reaper and a demon that makes you feel that way, but it's not like you can take him in like some shinki and play house.

I know that! [ Grell retorts with a wry grin, as she shifts her weight to plant a hand upon her hip. ] I was saying that I would love to have a little reaper of my own!

[ Of course, she HAD thought of that time she offered to carry a demon's child - but it isn't as though this woman knows of Sebaby, so she wouldn't follow how humorous that is.

Still, she has to bite back a chuckle. ]

... I'm pretty sure it's a little late for that.

[ No, it's probably impossible. For a few reasons, instead of just the obvious. ]

Not in this lifetime, more like. [ With a wistful sigh, she places her hands over her stomach with a smile! ] But a girl can dream!

I... Suppose it's good to dream.

[ Oh, is there an oar in her hand? It's not for violent reasons- Botan knows to exercise the Flight of her flight or fight response. Between this and the vulnerability talk, the youngest of the reapers was cluing into her instincts. ]

If you'd like, I can let you dream on, in peace. Without distraction.

[ So, she can summon weapons, too! If... one could call it such. Upon inspection, it is just an oar, after all. ]

No. Wait.

[ Just to make certain that she doesn't go anywhere, Grell takes a step closer! ]

You said that you were without a god, did you not?

[ Less a weapon and more a means for several things. Especially as Botan started to sit and float in the air as Grell posed that question.

Grell probably wasn't accounting for the possibility of Botan going up. Yet she's staying hovered in place for now. ]

I did. It's the only reason I could come up with for being unable to make a line anymore.

[ No, Grell hadn't been, indeed! Watching the girl float in such a way has her head lulling to the side in clear question.

But, she'll wave all that off, for now! More important things. ]

I could assist with that. It so happens to be that I'm in need of a more reliable shinki, myself - and us girls should stick together, don't you think?
