[It's been a long month- but it always seems to feel like that. Today though, they've carved out some alone time. And Izuku's been planning for this one. His room has most of the pillows and blankets from this floor, all the Disney movies and some incredibly unhealthy junk food.

It's fine to cheat just this once.]

[ Shouto, as always, doesn't remember much about his life before becoming a shinki here in the Far Shore. All he has is Izuku, and that's... mostly been fine, really. He doesn't care too much about exploring the feeling of deja vu or confusion that sometimes comes up, and instead just nudges the possible dread away and focuses on what he knows.

... this, however, has left him a little out of the loop with nonessentials. Like movies.

He lifts a DVD case in one hand, a redhead mermaid on the cover. ] Maybe? It's between this and the lion one, probably.

[They're all good movies, and Izuku's enjoyed all of them. So why not watch some with his boyfriend?]

The Little Mermaid, huh? I think you might like that one.

[What with the teenager who rebelled against her father? Seems pretty reasonable.]

The Lion King is good too, but maybe we'll watch that after.

[icyhot]

[ He's seen a few of them, but not many, and he doesn't remember that. Fuyumi snuck him in to watch some with her, once. ]

After whatever one you pick, maybe.

[ Unless he picks that one, which, either way, they get to watch them. Shouto is fine with a lazy day watching animated movies. ]

[He'll take the DVD and slide it into the tray before pulling a bowl of popcorn over and putting it in his lap.]

I'll see what I feel like when we're done with this one. Do you want soda or anything else? Before we start, I mean.

Sure - I'll get it.

[ Letting Izuku handle that and the popcorn bowl, Shouto goes to fetch the bag of candy and a six pack of sodas. It hasn't been in the fridge yet, but.

Well, he solves that pretty quickly, dropping to sit with him and prodding a bottle with his right index finger. ]

Thanks.

[Yeah, that's incredibly useful in so many ways. But once they're sitting together in the pillow fort, Izuku snuggles up to Shouto's side before starting the movie up.]

[icyhot]

[ Getting settled, Shouto looks up at the roof of the pillow fort with a sort of curious interest, even as he curls his arm along the line of Izuku's back. He's not entirely sure if he's ever made or experienced a pillow fort, but, regardless, he's... enjoying this.

But then his focus returns to the screen, as he gives another bottle a poke. ]

I read the back of the boxes while you were making popcorn. I feel like I haven't watched a lot of these kinds of movies.

[They're surrounded by soft, comfortable things while watching a movie made for children. Izuku's not shy about nuzzling into Shouto's slide as the first strains of the score begin. He's pretty sure Shouto's never had the chance to experience this at home.

And as his god, it's time that he makes sure Shouto gets to.]

I... wouldn't be surprised. I hope you like it though.

[ After a beat, Shouto slumps where he's seated propped against some of the pillows. It's nice, being this close. Being with Izuku in general, really, is always nice. He wouldn't change it for the world, that's for sure. So he isn't really shy about the cuddling, either, especially now that he's gotten so used to it, has realized that maybe he's a little starved for it.

The movie is just a little perk, really, to the thing that he enjoys most. ]

I've liked everything we've watched together. So I'm not worried.

[fullcowl]

[Shouto deserves to be loved and cherished, and damn it, he's going to do at least that much for his boyfriend. So he moves a bit, to kiss Shouto on the cheek before taking a few pieces of popcorn and eating them.]

I'm glad you trust me so much.

[icyhot]

[ There's no bit of hesitation as Shouto moves after the kiss, rubbing his temple up against Izuku's shoulder exactly like Kuchan would against their hands when she wants attention. It's just a return of affection, comfortable and content with their proximity, basically basking in it.

And then he straightens back up again, his hair a little disheveled but no move to fix it comes. ]

Of course I do. I have since we first met, even if I didn't remember you then.

[Cute... Shouto's cute when he's at ease like this and he's always happy to see him this way. It feels like a private little thing between the two of them.

He reaches up to start fixing Shouto's hair, just for an excuse to touch him more.]

I'm not entirely sure why... but I'm really grateful that you did.

[icyhot]

Maybe a part of me remembered you anyways.

[ His eyes close when Izuku starts fixing his hair, content with it. It feels good, and he's still getting used to the contact, in a way, but it's. Nice. He keeps wanting more and more of it. ]

You're that important to me, and getting my memories of you back just made that more obvious.

[It's a good thing Izuku's more than willing to give it. Eventually he manages to smooth out Shouto's hair... but then he's just petting through it.

He feels his face getting redder with that. Is there really anything he can say to Shouto after he admits something so sweet?]

... I don't know how you can say that stuff so easily.

[icyhot]

[ Instead of pulling away, Shouto just angles his head closer to him without messing up how his hair has been fixed, letting Izuku pet him without complaint. It's soothing. Oddly familiar, in the way that Izuku was when they first met.

He eventually opens his eyes, though, blinking mismatched eyes at him. ]

I'm just being honest. I don't really think about it beforehand.

[fullcowl]

[That's also very like Shouto, isn't it...

He does his best not to laugh, but it's shining in his eyes.]

That's just part of what makes you yourself.

[Shouto's just charming without thinking about it.]

[icyhot]

[ He's bad at reading people, although he's starting to figure Izuku out. Being his partner helps a lot, and being with him all the time, so.

The corner of his mouth twitches up, a little amused. ]

Is there something funny about that?

[fullcowl]

[He brushes Shouto's hair back to press a kiss against his forehead.]

You're really honest, that's all. It's nice.

[Unlike Izuku who tends to hide things- not small things, but the big important things like All Might's connection to him.

... He should tell Shouto about that maybe. But it's not something that can casually come up in conversation, and Shouto's missing so much.]

[icyhot]

[ Eyes closing again as he scrunches his face a bit - at least Izuku moving his hair out of his face doesn't bother him like it would anyone else - he huffs a soft laugh. ]

I don't see a reason to not be honest. Not when there's nothing for me to hide.

[ boy howdy ]

[For now, anyway.]

It's a good trait to have. Lying can be hard.

It seems like it would be. And there's also miscommunication, like that prayer we did.

[ It's not like he even remembers anything right now, so it doesn't really matter. Even when he realized he had a crush on Izuku it wasn't like he was trying to hide it. He just didn't know how to talk about it. ]

[It's gonna get real awkward in this house real fast.]

We don't really have a lot to keep from each other. I think open communication is supposed to be part of a relationship...

I don't know very much about that though.

[icyhot]

[ Boy howdy it really, really is. ]

Well... it's not like I do, either. Even with my memories I'm pretty sure that would still be the same.

[ And he leans forward as he says it, bonking their foreheads softly together, nuzzling up against him again before kissing his cheek. ] But we do a pretty good job, I think?

[He's only still for a moment before he loops his arms around Shouto and pulls him close.]

We're doing the best we can. And... I think we've been pretty happy, right?
