Soon after the announcement, the King pulled back the red aura, extinguishing the flames as he moved through the bar and settled on a familiar couch. He took up his usual spot and and waited. However, the wait soon turned to boredom and by the time the first straggler dropped he was sitting upright on that couch, fast asleep.

[ Mikoto has woken up and ready to listen to your complaints - because aren't they all just complaints in the end? Come at him with all your pent up anger, questions and whatever you want. Mikoto can either be in the bar area with other people or somewhere else more private like the basement or his room, or maybe you two took a walk so here's your chance to come at him. ]

[ You're either fed up with the King and need to blow off some steam with someone else, or you just happen to run into someone familiar. By the way... do you both have the same weird fire powers the guy on the network showed off? Why not talk about it, or go ahead and explore his temple. He doesn't really care what you do so long as you don't piss off Izumo by putting a dent in his bar. ]

[ He'd seen the broadcast - that had been pretty hard to miss, after all - but he hadn't replied over the network.

No, he'd done what any irrational shinki would do - he immediately called up Saru and spazzed over the phone, tried to bribe his friend into coming with him, and then yelling for a minute or so when he failed, had hung up and skated over here anyway.

The bell over the door dings softly, a familiar note and he peeks his head inside, looking to see if anyone else had come before his gaze lands on Mikoto. Looking a little unease, he steps inside, skateboard tucked under one arm, and lets the door swing shut behind him.

Well. No turning back now. ]

Yo.

[ The talk with Mikoto had been.... something. At least Yata had at least one memory returned to him to give him some context here, but he'd still carefully danced around what he asked and what he didn't - even where he let his thoughts wander.

Sometimes that wasn't too difficult, because - as Saru often taunted him for - he didn't think about things too deeply. He observed, and often jumped to his own conclusions from that, but he could be blunt and to the point and took things at face value most of the time. At least, in this, in his honesty, he lucked out by not often letting his thoughts wander too often into areas that gave him that weird sick feeling he'd come to associate with pondering things he shouldn't.

After talking, though, he makes his way over to the bar and climbs up on one of the stools, kicking one foot absently, and subtly trying to eye who else might have shown up here today. If anyone else is there, he might eventually strike up a conversation - or be receptive to have one initiated with him in return. Otherwise, he'll be pestering Izumo for a drink and taking a moment to text on his phone. ]

[ It's just like Mikoto, isn't it? To invite an innumerable sum of someones into his temple and then vanish, just like a good host would. But, Tatara could have anticipated that he'd run into this, and he knows just where to find the man he seeks.

Habitually, of course, he knocks first and announces himself. ]

King~! I'm coming in~!

[ And then pushes the door open straightaway. Just like old times. His expression is well-meaning, but slightly... sympathetic? That is, if Mikoto is looking. ]

Hey, King. [ They need to talk about this whole Izumo thing. ]

[Reisi may not be HOMRA and might actually even be in opposition with Suoh and his people, but that doesn't stop him from coming to Suoh's temple after that reckless summoning on the network. Reisi may not have any memories, but he knows what it's like to be drawn to Suoh and understands the risks involved in seeking him out for answers. Those are the reasons he's here—he's concerned about how others might be affected in this situation.]

And just what drink are you having, Misaki Yata? [The unknowing King muses as he approaches.] Would you mind if I had a seat?

[Reisi decides not to approach Suoh until it seems like most everyone else has done so. As concerned as he is for others, Reisi is also concerned about Suoh's own well-being even when the other man is disinclined to care about himself. Besides, it's hardly as if Suoh isn't aware of his presence. It was only a matter of time...]

If I might say so, Suoh...

[What he's about to say is something they both know, something so painfully obvious, and yet Reisi can't stop himself saying it because of who he is.]

That was terribly reckless of you.

[ The bar is currently empty with Izumo having stepped out for a moment and Totsuka yet to make his appearance so it's up to Mikoto to deal with any early takers that might come his way. He looks up when the bell tinkles a quick and rambunctious melody. ]

......

[ Gold eyes land on the skater. Of course, it'd be Yata to arrive first. He's honestly surprised it took him so long. ]

Took you long enough.

[ He says calmly, while seated at the edge of the sofa a bit away from the bar. ]

[ Mikoto is leaning against an open window, looking out as smoke drifts up before being swept into the open air. He ignores the intrusion, already knowing who it is even before the initial announcement. He doesn't move to greet him, staying in place while his thoughts wander, roaming aimlessly as not to focus on the inevitable. ]

[ That's fine. If Mikoto is going to occupy the window, then Tatara will plant himself on the edge of the king's bed, hands limp in his lap for a moment before he looks up and, yes, starts in with the inevitable. ]

I don't know what's going on with you and Kusanagi-san, but he doesn't want to leave you, King. I guarantee that. And I know you would never leave him, either.

[ ~~Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" plays in the distance.~~ ]

[ The moment Munakata speaks, Mikoto leans back onto the sofa, making himself more comfortable. He'd been wondering how long it'd take him to finally speak up. Surprisingly, it was longer than he'd expected. ]

So what.

You here to discipline me.

[ Yata gives a casual shrug before crossing to stand in front of him. ]

I tried to see if Saru would come. He didn't think it was a good idea.

[ Which is as tactful a way as he can put how that conversation went.

He fixes an even gaze on the man before him, head cocked slightly to the side. ]

You called us?

[ The smoke keeps drifting, the man neither dragging the toxins into his lungs or putting it down as his thoughts are finally forced to settle on the subject he'd been avoiding all evening. ]

.....

[He knows he's not really Suoh's keeper and that nothing he says will ever change the other man's mind. Even without memories, he recognizes that much by now, and yet...]

What you're doing is affecting other people. [Not only people who have connections to Suoh or are close to him, but people who are also connected to or close to those people, and so on. His actions have a rippling effect.] I can't—I won't simply close my eyes to it or just sit back and watch what comes of it.

[ Us... does he mean Eric? Or does he know about the others too? ]

Something like that.

[ So he's hit that squarely on the head. Or so the unsmoked-but-still-burning cigarette would imply. What's wrong, King...?

That goes unasked, of course. There's no point. Brick walls have more response. ]

If you feel like you've let him down, you haven't. You're still the best king any of us could ask for -- just like I knew you would be, all along. I know he'd agree. Any of HOMRA would.

[ Or Tatara would sweetly, gently... elbow them in the ribs... until they said so.

He pushes to his feet then, and makes his way over. ]

Do you just need a break from it all, King? Is that it?

[ He knows. Possibly more than he even realizes sometimes, but he's been putting two and two together all along, after all. His one memory he'd regained had put a lot into perspective. Not all, but enough.

When that's all Mikoto says, he comes to crouch in front of him, setting his skateboard aside so he can rest his arms atop his knees and peer up at the man. ]

Did you need us? Is something wrong?

[ Yata looks surprised to see Reisi here, swiveling on his stool to turn towards him and blink a moment before glancing down at his drink. ]

Ahh... it's just a soda. I don't mind, help yourself. There's plenty of stools. [ He squints at the man for a moment, looking puzzled. ] Why are you here?

[ Mikoto remains silent, mouth twitching at the obvious line he's told him ever since he started chasing after him. But Mikoto isn't in the mood for meaningless lines right now and cuts him off before he draws closer, toward the warm air that surrounds him.]

Why aren't you downstairs?

[ No reaction. ]

If you're here to stop me then you'll need more than annoying speeches.

[Not that Reisi can blame Yata for his response, but his responses in more recent situations have been nothing short of amusing.

He lets out a tiny sigh that turns into a thoughtful hum as he takes a seats himself at least one stool away from the other shinki.]

Seeing as Suoh's taking visitors, I thought I also might take the opportunity to drop by. Besides, such a summoning can be quite dangerous, so I thought it pertinent to keep a close eye on the situation.

...Have you already spoken with him?

[ Gold eyes, stare back at him, even, steady. ]

You remembered the wrong person.

I called you here to show you that.

[ Yata squints slightly at that, looking confused as he blinks up at him. ]

....What does that mean?

[He lets out an annoyed sigh.

As if he can stop what already has taken place... There's a reason Reisi waited until the end, or at least what looked like it before approaching Suoh himself. He needed to see how others were affected first.

Besides, Suoh is Suoh. He seems to care least of all for himself.]

To stop you from what, talking to others and giving them answers? The moment you called them on the network, I was already too late. I'm not simply looking out for the others; I'm looking out for you as well.

Sit down. Be quiet. And wait for the rest of them.

[ Is that clear enough for you? ]
