1. (9/11) Hakkai's School ❀ clinic set up

( It's a day of set up for anyone still willing to help. It helps a lot that Ayumu already had something in the beginning so they're really just building on it some more. Through assorted donations, they've managed to collect a fair amount of supplies and equipment to work with.

Sakura is a small girl-- not even five feet-- and she isn't particularly strong given her lifestyle and profession but that doesn't stop her from pulling her weight if not more... literally. Right now, she's trying to move a particularly large and heavy box. Anyone watching can tell it's something she won't be able to do on her own easily but that doesn't stop her from not asking for help... )

2. (9/12) Hakkai's School ❀ clinic set up

( Since her original announcement about the clinic and subsequent attempts to spread the word, Sakura's been hard at work on this clinic a success. She's normally a reserved person but it's clear that this is something she's really passionate about. Thanks to everyone's efforts, set up has been going smoothly too. They've collected a small assortment of medicines-- over the counter and traditional-- and a considerable collection of first aid supplies ranging from bandages to bottles of blessed water.

On a nearby desk, there is a pile of books. It's mostly on medicine and biology but it looks like there are a few books taken from Hakkai's school as well. Sakura sits at the desk, flipping through the pages and writing neat and careful notes in a notebook. Going off the page she's on, it looks like she's close to filling it completely. But as she writes, her pen trails and her head begins to bob sleepily until her writing stops completely, her breathing becomes rhythmic, and she's fallen asleep while sitting up right.

When she hears someone-- entering the room, coming too close, or suddenly making a noise-- her head shoots up and she shrieks, )

-- I-I'm awake!

3. 9/13 Konohanasakuya-hime's temple ❀ Magic

( Someone's managed to convince her to take a break from work for a bit. It felt nice to sleep in and have some time to herself.

A few days ago, Sakura had woken up in her bed to find a set of unbound talismans in her bed. She'd recognized them right away and had gathered them up quickly, counting to make sure she'd acquired the entire set. She wasn't sure where it came from but after a few days, the talismans were still there. She hadn't had time to experiment since the moon viewing happened right after and then there was work to be done but since she has free time now...

The main courtyard is open enough. She should't disturb anything (like her gardens) here. Gathering up the talismans in her hands, she fans them out in front of her and as if by magic (spoilers: it is), the talismans rise into the air to form a circle in front of her. From the center, a ram charges forward and wow isn't this a great time to walk right into a magical attack when you probably just wanted to share sweets or see who lives here or something? )

O-oh, watch out!

( Luckily for you, the spirit will veer suddenly in the other direction and disappear wispily into the air. The talismans return neatly to her hand and she runs toward you, )

Oh my goodness, are you all right? Are you hurt anywhere?! I'm s-so sorry...!

[Sharak looks at Sakura silently for a moment, evaluating her. Then her expression doesn't quite change but there's a slight shift where it seems a little more approving.]

Stay here for a minute, I'll be right back.

[And then she leaves, heading towards the school kitchen. Considering the staff around here, she can probably count on them having the right supplies- and if they don't, she can quickly teleport to her own temple and back. After about fifteen minutes, Sharak returns to the clinic with a pot of odd smelling tea and a cup.]

When I was a student, they'd wake us up before dawn and not let us sleep before midnight for a while. Coffee wasn't really an option, but we had to stay awake somehow.

[Have some weird herbal tea that a bunch of monks in the mountains came up with out of desperation, Sakura.]

( The look just makes her shrink more into herself, bringing her shoulders in and bowing her head down to avoid eye contact as much as possible. Her hands are curling into anxious fists in her lap and she waits for the lecture to continue.

But it doesn't. Instead, Sharak tells her to wait and leaves. She looks up, surprised to see Sharak's back leaving the room. Is that it? What just happened. She waits a moment and then another, uncurling from herself as she waits idly in place. She moves some papers aside and tries to clear off the desk some. After a bit, she idly opens a nearby book just to flip through the pages and--

Sharak returns and she slams the book shut, looking up both alert and guilty. )

I-I wasn't doing anything! Really!

( But that's definitely tea even if it doesn't smell like anything she's ever had before. It's a strange smell,
really, and she listens intently as Sharak explains. Sharak's training sounds a lot more intense than the training she had when she was becoming a priestess. )

Ah... ( So it's for her? She bows her head lightly, accepting the tea, ) I... thank you.

( What is that smell, though? It's definitely herbal and she's not against it but it's definitely different from the teas she's used to. She'll take a sip and make a face almost immediately even if she recovers quickly and tries to look as neutral as possible. It's?? Strong??? )

A-and how often did you have this?

( She's a delicate princess and this tastes like something Hinata would make and Hinata probably doesn't make tea. )

Don't have it more than once a day and if you take it now, make sure you're in bed by nine thirty tonight.

[That's not really an answer to Sakura's question but it's fine. She'll be fine. Sharak raises her eyebrow at Sakura.]

You wanted to keep working, right? I can't force you to stop, so you may as well be awake while you do it.

( Nodding. The instructions are easy and honestly, it isn't too much earlier than when she'd normally go to bed. )

Thank you, Sharak-san. ( Again. But this is different from the treatment she normally expects and she's quiet for a moment as she tries to find a good way to express herself. She doesn't want to look like she's taking this for granted or anything but... ah, after a moment, she asks quietly, ) ... You'll r-really let me keep going? You... aren't going to stop me?

[Just don't use this an excuse to pull all-nighters, that's all she asks.]

You're an adult, aren't you? You know what's best for yourself. [Sharak moves on to start examining the covers of the other books in the pile. Some of these are rather interesting...] If you've decided you'd rather keep going than rest, I can't stop you.

[Well, she could but she'd rather not pick Sakura up and forcibly tie her to a bed somewhere.]
