Honoring Barry Goodman

Who: Hiyoko and open
What: Honoring a departed shinki (He's not dead or anything, just gone.)
When: September 16th
Where: Mielikki's lodge and the river that runs through the far shore

A- Down by the river

[Barry has left the far shore and Hiyoko is sure going to miss him. A bit high maintenance, but one of the best shinki around. It seems appropriate to honor his memory.

By taking his entire collection of anime merchandise and giving it a good old fashioned viking funeral. So here she is, a wooden boat laden with figures, dvds, plushies, and books on the river's edge.

She very carefully places a cardboard standee of his best girl from that silly magical girl builders show he liked so much. Survey-chan? Is that her name? Anyway, she gets a place of honor at the center of the boat. With that done, Hiyoko picks up the torch.]

Gonna miss you, Barry.

B- Mielikki's lodge

[And later, after she returns to her lodge, Hiyoko brings a large wooden sign and a mallet over to the side of the road. With several firm strikes, the sign is positioned in front of her temple.

Help Wanted: Inquire Within

There is very small fine print for those who read the sign carefully. It looks like it was just scribbled in as an afterthought.

'Do not poke the bears']
