What: Catchall for minor activities such as training, daily shenanigans, outings, what have you.

A. Training
Chinatsu's trying to learn to fight, whether it be hand-to-hand or with weapons. She'll approach anyone she can for a spar, or at least people she knows. She'll either train at Nekhbet's temple, or a slightly secluded but open space at the near shore.

B. Let's hang
She may be learning to fight ayakashi, but she's still a teenager. Hang out with her in the far shore, go shopping, beat up some guys bothering other girls (wait, that's still fighting), go to the arcade or eat some fast food...anything under the sun! 

She's also down to spending time in the near shore, maybe show her that there's fun stuff to do in heaven.

C. Wildcard
Open to anything and everything! Make up your own scenario and I'll play along.

Pfft-- seriously?

[That's actually pretty impressive.]

You didn't lose any from that, did you?

[mithrarin]

[That's right, be impressed!]

Naw. I'm always hungry, anyway, so that means food never loses its appeal. That's something we could do while we're out?

[redmare]

Of course! There’s a bunch of food places I wanted to try.

[Bookmarked in her phone and all.

It’s thankfully not to busy out there, so it’s wasy enough to talk while walking.]

You’ve gone around here though, haven’t you? Have you done anything fun?

[mithrarin]

Last time I was around here doing something fun was when I was chasing ice cream trucks. Not the best option for us today, though. [Though charging around after one hundred ice cream trucks with Chinatsu would be fun, if it could ever happen.]

Beyond that... I'm not really good at just having fun, what with the. Everything. So I'm kind of following your lead.

[redmare]

Leave it to me then. [She says with a confident wink.] But next[ time, I'm joining you on those runs.

[Chinatsu looks at each of the stores, trying to figure out what they can try.]

..You been to the arcade before?

[mithrarin]

You can't keep up with me, but I'd enjoy watching you try. [It's part truth -- literally speaking, Chinatsu can't double-jump and then Dust Storm across a busy street -- but part playful challenge, too. She responds to challenges, he's learned.] What's an arcade?

[redmare]

Try to say that again when I beat your ass.

[Though there's no anger in her tone. But she does smirk. Though it falters a little at his question.]

Really? A place where you play video games..and stuff..?

[mithrarin]

Promises, promises. [Dust spreads his hands slightly. Under normal circumstances, he'd feel awkward at yet one more thing he doesn't recognize... but he's in a good mood today, Chinatsu is fun to hang around, and he'd been prepared to discover any number of new things already.] I don't even know what those are. Want to show me?

[redmare]

[Chinatsu raises a hand to point towards the store, sounds bursting out from within and bright lights blinking from the screens.]

That’s the arcade. And all of those are games..that I’m gonna kick your ass in.

[mithrarin]

...At first. Till I learn them.

[Dust knows perfectly well she has an unfair advantage here -- but he also isn't about to back down from a challenge.]

[So that's where they're going, then, and if she doesn't start walking,
Dust is going to beat her there!]

You're on.

[redmare]

[Was he actually racing her to the store?! Chinatsu chases right after him, but sadly he does make it in a step ahead.]

Ugh--fine. There are still the actual games after all.

[She goes to load up a card they can use, then scans the area for what they can do first. Then her eyes find it.]

That. We're doing that.

[The two machine stood tall side by side, the platform and screen lights blinking in time with the demos of the songs.]

[mithrarin]

[Good thing she's navigating the place -- the lights and the noise of the arcade briefly stun Dust as soon as he steps food into it, both from inexperience with so much sensory overloard, and because his ears are just not quite the same as humans. He follows Chinatsu around mostly by reflex, one hand lifted slightly as if he's about to dodge an attack, though he's finally starting to loosen up just a bit when she speaks.]

'Dance Dan--' this is because I signed up to take Maria's dancing lessons, isn't it?

[redmare]

Even if you hadn't, I'd still challenge you to it.

[She turns back to look at him, noticing his hand up.]

What are you doing...?

[mithrarin]

Adjusting. This is a lot of noise. [But his hand lowers as he adapts.] So this is -- really, a dancing game?

[redmare]

Oh..

[Chinatsu hadn't considered that his senses were a lot stronger. It did look like he was adjusting though.]

Well...not exactly

[She says as she swipes the card and starts setting it up]

It's more about your sense of rhythm and timing. You wait for the arrows to reach the top, and then you step on whatever arrow it is. Sometimes you gotta step on them together.

[mithrarin]

Moving your body on command, just over these arrows...?

[Dust looks from the screen down to the dance arrows. And a smile slowly grows on his face, becoming more than a little cocky as it reaches its full width.]

I'd say you were making a huge mistake challenging me... but I saw that performance of yours the other day. So I'm just going to say challenging me is a big mistake.

[redmare]

Hoo? We’ll see about—

[Her cocky smirk falters.]

Wai—y-you watched it?!

[mithrarin]

Yeah. I saw the whole thing.

You were really good.

[Dust may not be much for elaborate compliments, but the sincere heart he puts into those simple words makes up for it all.]

[redmare]

......

[Were people really watching this?!]

I'm kicking your ass.

[That's his cue to get on the platform.]

[mithrarin]

Bring it on.

[Just to make a point, Dust hops over the bar behind the pads, landing lightly on the right-side arrow. Then he rises, tipping his head to the left, then the right, to stretch out the muscles of his neck.]

[It's pure theatrics.]

[redmare]

[Show off.

But she's still smirking. Once the set up is done she gets in place.]

Don't trip over your own feet. Other people might not see it, but I will.

[mithrarin]

Everyone would, because all eyes will be on me. Guess you can make all the mistakes you want without worry about anyone noticing.

[It's... kind of hard to trash-talk and actually wait for Chinatsu to do whatever needs to be done on this machine to get a game going, but he manages anyway.]

[redmare]

[O h o. Is that how it's gonna be?

Chinatsu doesn't reply, looking at the screen instead once the song starts.

It starts of slow, easy enough to follow. She wanted him to ease into it after all, but it does pick up in the middle.

She wasn't going to go that easy. It'd be boring otherwise.]

[mithrarin]

[He needs the slow start, the better to adjust to the demands of the game, to understand the timing, to catch on to what the extended arrows mean and how to take them.]

[But he's not slow on the uptake. By the time the song speeds up, he's matching steps to screen with increasing confidence, his natural agility and ability to quickly read the situation serving him in good stead. Though he doesn't have a lot of flair at the moment...]

[redmare]

[Chinatsu could see on the screen that he was getting less misses, which was good of course. This made it more of a competition. She continues on with the song all the way to the end, feeling more warmed up now.]

Not bad. Think you can handle a real level?
