[He can't do everything on his own, he's only one person... aren't these things he's been told before? He asked for Zelda and Lenneth's help and he even brought Rin along, but it doesn't seem like that was enough. Everything still went horribly wrong.

And it's also true that the threat of losing everything lingers regardless of what he does. Inaction and catastrophic failure hold the same risks. He chose to try despite the risks because it still had a chance of success. Was there some other option in the middle he didn't properly consider? Should he have tried to take things even more slowly and carefully? It's hard for him to imagine since he was so sure that's what he was doing. How careful does he need to be?

He frowns, looking up at Rin expectantly.]
