Davesprite
Chikusa
Yeah, well, that's twelve hours of wasted time where you could have at least been making second base. Or maybe third, it's a good night for that sort of thing.
[Freely available alcohol and bad ideas and so on, though it sounds more like a shitty romance movie trope than something someone would actually want to go for. But he is still definitely judging Chikusa, with his judgiest level of still deadpan expression.]
no subject
We've been busy... until half an hour ago. [Around the time Chikusa snapped out of his fugue in the middle of dinner.]
no subject
[Clearly a nice party is totally a good place to on the spot ask someone out. Or, at least, it's probably a better place than most they have access to.]
no subject
[He will fight you, Davesprite. Or, in Chikusa-speak, hunch his shoulders up and make what appears to be a frown, probably.]
Is this really where someone confesses, anyway...
no subject
Shit like this is actually pretty common to confess at. Like, big events or parties or festivals or whatever the fuck. Look at Tanabata, that was half dedicated to that shit.
no subject
[As in, with places for private confession.]
no subject
[They might have to avoid the guards, but hey, anything for love.]

Hakkai
[Well, that sure gets Davesprite's attention, to the point of making his feathers ripple a little in discomfort. It might've been a theory he was willing to consider, but that's more proof that it could be true than he was expecting, and it's...not a good thought. If anyone he remembered came to this world like that, he doesn't know what the hell he'd do.]
...Okay, yeah, we'll pin that one on the "conspiracy theories to get behind" wall. [He does have a point about it being pretty hard to be a ghost without a soul, too, though Davesprite doesn't want to linger on it too much after that little revelation.]
Yeah, I know, but my classification of good person is pretty broad, and mostly involves them not being openly garbage at the immediate time I happen to be talking to them.
[Somehow, Hakkai is not the only admitted ex-mass-murderer he's confided in, and Komaeda was pretty upfront about it.]
no subject
That is a broad definition.
[Any definition that could plausibly encompass him is far too broad. He's not arguing, though. He's lost enough friends recently that he won't try to convince anyone else to flee, if they're not doing it on their own.
He's silent for a moment, then adds thoughtfully:]
But it's surprising how many people it doesn't cover, isn't it?
no subject
I haven't actually met that many legit assholes here, though. Maybe I'm just lucky, or maybe they're just not, who knows.
[He wouldn't really wish himself on non-assholes given his opinion of himself, but it's kind of nice to have them around.]
no subject
[He's smiling very cheerfully through that line. Does he mean himself? Probably! Is he going to say it out loud? Not in public, although he assumes Davesprite can catch the nuance, considering.
He just couldn't resist.]
But if they're not lucky enough to meet you, that's their loss, I suppose.
no subject
[Like people who claim that they're just telling the truth when they're throwing insults around like they're going out of style. He gets the impression Hakkai's referring to himself, but he's not going to help him get there for once.
His feathers do prickle a little awkwardly at that last remark, though.]
Pretty sure we'll have to agree to disagree on that one, my dude.
no subject
So... I admit I'm surprised nothing around here has caught fire yet.
no subject
Or maybe they actually did the fucking unthinkable and put a security detail on other than the shitlords at the front door.

Kagaho
That would be a nice theory if most of the people here were actually suckers, but I'm guessing you haven't met enough people here yet with that attitude.
[Most people Davesprite knows vary from somewhat to extremely suspect about the entire situation here.]
no subject
[By which he means that, yes, he's only been here a very short time and he's decided he knows everything about this place already.]
no subject
[Davesprite's tone is about as dry as any given drought season, considering he's been here plenty long enough to know that parties always get a decent turnout.]
Chinatsu
Let what slide, someone reaching for the same piece of food as you. [It's basically what happened, except with sprite shenanigans involved, so he still thinks it's kind of an overreaction.]
Yeah, I've gotten a couple of memories. It's not exactly a fun time depending on what it is you get back.
no subject
How'd you get them back?
no subject
Her question seems a bit weird, though, and he raises a brow.] You know shinki just randomly get memories back sometimes, right. It's not a "how" thing, it's just hitting the jackpot. Or the shit hitting the fan, in some cases.
no subject
So you mean you can get your memories back out of no where? It's just random? [What were the chances of that even?] There's no way to make it happen? [And yes, she is moving on from the topic of food. Priorities.]
no subject
Random as fuck. I woke up with the ones I got, and as far as I know, all trying to make it happen ever does is get you good and fucking dead. It can be different kinds of shit, too - first thing I remembered was all about this one person, but then next time it was basically just a couple of hours of my life.
no subject
[Not only that, but if they came in random patches, it wouldn't even go in order. Wouldn't that just make things more confusing?]
What a fucking pain...
[Hell, she even felt bad for him. It had to be more annoying to be the one experiencing it.]
no subject
[Davesprite's been here for getting to six months and he's just sort of rolling with it at this point, considering the complete random element of it seems to be the only reliable thing.]
I'm gonna guess you haven't gotten any back yet if you're that into the subject.
