So if I asked you anything else about it, you'd tell me to mind my own business?

[It's a light tease. She won't prod too much, but she is curious.]

[Shun can't help but side-eye her a bit at that. He's not entirely opposed to talking about it, but he has his suspicions about whether he's going to want to answer what's asked, even if she is teasing.]

That depends on what part of it you're asking about.

Well- [She gestures vaguely with one hand.] What do you like him?

[Shun supposes that's general enough, though there are a few reasons he can't really disclose in full, so he considers the question for a few moments before actually answering.]

He's determined and kind, and never stays down. And we understand each other. [It's simple, but in Shun's opinion, it doesn't need to be a complicated thing.]

[Well, simplicity seems like something that suits Shun, and Wendy is grinning by the end of it.]

Aww, so you have a soft spot for that kind of thing.

[That definitely gets a bit of a stern side-eye from him, because "soft spot" sounds to him like she thinks there wasn't an effort made for their relationship to get that far.]

Don't make it that shallow. It took a while for us to trust each other with everything, and training him three times a week means I've had the chance to see different sides of him almost since we met. Just because I like those things doesn't mean he didn't earn it.

[There is a good chance he's also more offended at these implications as they apply to Ren than to him.]

So the key to being a part of your life is to make sure you never get a break. I see.

[She couldn't be smirking harder if she tried, although her giggles are really because of how offended he gets about it.]

I'm only teasing you, you know.

You're still wrong. [Even if she's teasing, it should at least be somewhat accurate teasing, as far as he's concerned.] Unless you mean "not getting a break" like telling me I need to do less all the time, which is at least accurate.

[Shun has a lot of nagging people in his life, and Ren is at least a little bit one of them even if he's not as bad as certain others.]

Yeah, that's about right.

[Shun's so stubborn, nothing less but constant perseverance will get through. Wendy is decided on that.]

Still, he seems pretty nice. I'd like to meet him better, when he's not whisking you away to dance.

[Wendy certainly isn't the only one who's discovered perseverance to be the best way to get through to Shun, though Ren has also discovered the practical applications of guilt-tripping him.

Shun hums a little in acceptance, like he's not surprised she'd want to meet him. Ren is rather more sociable than he is.] He's not exactly hard to spot, or run into at some other event. He'll just have his hair up or be wearing a skirt or oversized shirt or something.

[Shun is extremely used to Ren's slightly odd and specific taste in clothing by this point.]

[For whatever reason, that doesn't particularly bug Wendy, either. Then again, her own god goes around calling herself a Prince, so, you know. Whatever.]

Then I'll keep an eye out for him, and we'll gossip about you.

[They won't gossip about him. Probably.]

[All that gets is a faint snort out of him.] I'm sure he'll be happy enough with that. He's more talkative than me.

[Since Shun is somewhat reluctant to let Ren praise him easily, he might take advantage of the chance to do it to someone else. Or, knowing the both of them, comment on how hard it is to convince Shun to do anything.]

Most people are more talkative than you. It'll be all the other things that will be fun to find out about him.

[Especially since Shun is so prickly about some things.]

So in other words, you're wondering what kind of person would get themselves into a relationship with me.

[Which isn't an unreasonable question, really, considering Shun wonders about why Ren puts up with him sometimes. He can't imagine Wendy's going to get much genuine information out of Ren from a single meeting, though.]

And what kind of person you'd get into a relationship yourself! [She grins up at him.] I can't learn everything just from you.

[Besides, even Shun might get a little biased towards someone he's dating.]

[Shun shrugs a little at that, since it's a fair point. He'd insisted quite a few times that romance was a waste of time that he had no interest in, so someone making it creep up on him is quite significant enough.]

I suppose. It's not that easy to learn what causes relationships like that, though.

[Especially with theirs. His and Ren's mutual trust is grounded in something neither of them are fond of sharing, so that itself would take time to learn.]

That's alright. We have all the time in the world here, right? At least until we disappear.

[So a limited amount of time, really. Still, Wendy figures there's not much she can do on that end. She has an afterlife to live.]

That's not all the time in the world. [It's something on Shun's mind increasingly often the longer he's here. There's woefully few people who've been here as long as he has, and he wonders whether there's any meaning to that, or whether they're just overdue to disappear.]

But I can't see you finding out something that personal. [Shun's certainly not revealing it himself, and Ren isn't the sort of person to give up those matters easily. Revealing the depths of their trust means revealing things about themselves that neither of them are prone to sharing easily.]

That's fine. [She's not planning on being too nosy just yet.] Learning anything will be good for me.

So, no more dances even for him tonight?

[revolutionfalcon]

If you're that interested. [Shun doesn't really understand why she's that into the idea of learning more about Ren, but he's definitely not opposed to Ren having more allies here.

As for the question, he considers it a little before turning his head away a bit.] That depends on if he asks.

It's cute how you try to pretend you're so nonchalant about your lover.

[Dork.]

Well, I'll leave you to it, then, and see if I can't find other friends of mine. They're probably even more hopeless.

[Wendy might be able to pick out the slightest hint of pink in Shun's face before he very pointedly looks in another direction this time. The obvious emotion doesn't last long, though.] It's not anyone else's business how I feel about him anyway.

[There's a reason he usually makes people have to fight for the information. Still, if she's leaving, at least he can escape the subject for now, and he just shrugs slightly.]

[Even if it doesn't last long, a victory is a victory, and Wendy's giggling lingers around even when she's turned around to disappear back into the crowds.]
