[Body language can be pretty vague when even the person communicating isn't how they feel. Putting thoughts into actions is no easier than putting them into words. But her shuffling is somewhat similar to an aimless ramble.

But at the offer she does perk up, her shoulders hightening. Her neck bobs up and down a bit, questioning being asked by a girl but...

She does take the offered hand.]

[Natsuru's smile brightens up, and she grips Celty's hand affectionately.]

Okay! It'll be fun, I promise.

[She starts to lead the way to the floor, but glances in Celty's direction before they've reached their destination.]

Have you danced before? I don't know how good I'd be at leading, but I can try! Unless you'd rather do it...

[Celty takes those first steps with Natsuru, but then she flinches slightly at the question. Her shoulders tighten, but then push up into a shrug as her neck twists. She doesn't know. She doesn't remember.

But she squeezes Natsuru's hand to let her know she still wants to do this. As for who will lead though...she's not sure...]

[Ah... Celty seems so awkward about this, but the squeeze of her hand gets her message across that she does want to do this. Natsuru would ordinarily feel a little more comfortable with her partner taking the lead, but for Celty she's willing to try teaching her how she might end up dancing with someone else. So, keeping a hold of Celty's hand as they reach the dance floor, she maneuvers herself around so she's facing the headless woman.]

Okay, um... here. Let me show you.

[Her grip on Celty's hand changes a bit, and she guides the other woman's free hand up so that it settles on Natsuru's upper arm. Once that's done, Natsuru's free hand slips around Celty's waist, settling on her back just above her waistline.]

I'm starting with my left foot, so you'll take a step back with your right, okay? Just watch my steps and follow like that until you get it.

[Watching carefully so she doesn't move too fast and trip over Celty, Natsuru starts as promised with her left foot. One step forward, a step to the side, bringing her feet back together, a step back with her right to start the next part... if Celty can follow each step well enough, she'll just let the movement speak for itself.]

[Celty can be awkward about a good many things. It's a matter of comfort zones, and considering the helmet is one of them she's voluntarily put herself on the spot this evening. Dancing is just another extension of that, not just a physical activity she's unused to but one that will make her a focus of attention at the same time.

But Natsuru's been one of the people she's met who have been most welcoming and unafraid of her and she's as happy to have her as a friend as she is to have her as a partner in this right now.

Her neck bobs in a short not and she follows the other girl's lead through the steps. She stumbles a bit at first, trying a little too hard to mirror what Natsuru is doing and moving the wrong feet. But as they continue she relaxes, and as she relaxes and stops thinking about what she's doing her movements become smoother.]

[Natsuru is intently focused at first, making sure she doesn't step on or trip over Celty's feet even when she makes the wrong move. It's weird for her too; something seems strange to her about leading a dance like this while wearing heels. But if Chinatsu can do it, then she should at least be able to lead a basic step for a novice too.

Her lips gradually curl into a bright smile as their motions become smoother, and more in sync. Once she's comfortable with their rhythm, her eyes raise to meet Celty's... smoke. She's used to this enough by now that the lack of eyes to focus on doesn't even faze her.]

See? It's easy! Just takes a little practice~.

[Celty's neck bobs in a short nod. She's enjoying this and it does seem to get easier as they go along. She guessed she assumed all these fancy dances were all the highly choreographed ones, but this is just moving with the music and trusting your partner. She likes it.

There's a slight shift to her neck, almost as if she's looking away from Natsuru's eyes. Her dance partner may not even notice. But she thinks to herself, 'Maybe next party I can be the one to lead.'
