Mm. Then, how about I invite you over? I'm still getting some things set up, but this way you'd know more about the place in case anything happens!

It'd be useful to have an idea of the layout before people start moving in. So I'd prefer to do it earlier instead of later.

[People being around can draw attention away from the details of the location, and the last thing he needs when he's trying to get a firm idea of a place to guard is distractions.]

Alright. Then I'll call you and you can look around. I need to get some things set up myself, like sneaking in futons for everyone.

I'm surprised they don't have that sort of thing there already if it's a big enough shrine. [Considering some shrine carers stay at the shrines, to his knowledge. Neither of his are big or fancy enough for that sort of thing, but he'd think gods like Amaterasu would have to have at least some like that.]

But I don't really care when it is as long as it's before people start coming in.

I don't think it's really big... Besides, if there were futons there already, that would mean there would be people already using them.

We would need our own anyway for that reason if nothing else.

I suppose it'd be too populated if it was a major one. [Trying to hide out shinki at a shrine like that probably wouldn't be the best idea.]

I assume she's giving you at least a few supplies like that as well.

Yeah, we get to have funds! It'll be a little tough if we have too many people... But I think we can manage for the time being.

Besides, some people might donate to help, right? [Or she'll rob their wallets if she decides they're assholes about not donating, whatever.]

Probably. Some of the new gods are supposedly getting popular, so they should have money to spare. [He gets monetary donations with monotonous regularity these days, and he's starting to have more than he knows what to do with, considering he does very little with it anyway.]

Otherwise you could always convince your god to do a charity show or some other grandiose garbage she'd fall right for.

Oh, yeah? [Consider her interested. As in, perking up across the table.] Like who?

[Who does she need to target? Her own god is simple enough, so it's fine.]

You'd have to ask Kaede for the details. She brought it up, but didn't mention specific names. [And nobody else has shown up in Central District yet, though Shun wonders if this means he should be expecting an influx. It would have been nice to know who to expect.]

...Who is she, again? [Wendy has only met so many people in the old guard.]

That idiot wind god's exemplar. Avoid her god if you can, he's not worth the trouble. [The last contact Shun had with Fuujin was finding that obidome for Kaede, and he's hoping it stays that way.]

Oh, right! [Snapping her fingers, Wendy leans back with a grin.] Kaede-neesama~.

[And as if that sort of honorific enough wasn't suspicious-]

Too late on the god-front! I already owe him a debt, technically.

[That is definitely suspicious, and makes Shun think Wendy's only too ready to pry information out of the girl. But then, getting information from any of the old gods or shinki is rare, so he's not too fussed.

He does raise a brow at the mention of owing Fuujin, though.] Rather you than me. I can't stand the bastard, so he should be thankful the one time he asked me to do something it was for Kaede, not for him.

[Because if it had been for Fuujin, Shun would have happily gone to his temple and burnt the letter on his doorstep.]
