That is one of the conditions I must abide by. As I am not supposed to go down to the Near Shore in order to answer prayers so that I can focus on the Far Shore's gods' needs - in fact, I do not hear prayers at all nor do I have a temple - there is no reason to allocate shinki to me.

[For a long, long moment, his dull eyes stay focused on her, utterly blank and still as who knows what churns behind them. It's after a long moment, the current song that was playing now having ended, that he speaks up.]

[Orihime audibly gasps and puts both hands to her mouth in shock that he would say such a thing to her - while acknowledging that he did not mean it as insult to her. Rather an insult to the rest of the gods around them, the ones enforcing those conditions she abides by.

She just hadn't thought of it that way before and it's visibly shaken her.]

[Despite the reaction, Chikusa doesn't seem to regret his words. Instead, he watches her for a moment longer before looking back to the crowds.]

...Those sort of people... are so troublesome.

[With that, he finally reaches out to grab a drink, bringing it back to balance on his own stolen platter. This is fine.]

[She is still so confused and unsure by the topic of conversation that she can't help but blurt out a request for clarification from Chikusa.]

... A Ken sort of dog? Or a real dog? And who are 'those sort of people'?

Ah.... [His head sort of falls to the side gently.] A real dog.

'Get'? But I... I am required to be alone at my residence, people cannot bring pets to stay with me, although I suppose if it were to get a design crafted for the creature, I could be amenable to that...

So a big dog, then. Bon needs to be away from the house more.... [At least, Chikusa thinks so.]
