Summary: The Heavens are throwing a formal party! Old and new gods alike are invited, so put on your nicest outfits and some good dancing shoes, and come see what this shindig is all about.

[That would have thrown her off had he not looked so uncomfortable. Reaching up, she hooks her finger into the knot of his tie and tugs him towards the dance floor, loosening it at the same time. She pop open the top button before bringing her hands up to the sides, waiting for his hold.]

Nothing wrong with loosening up a little.

[She gestures towards her own tie which she had loosened as well.]

Still looks good.

[ Oh! He tilts forward a little, and lets her pull him along as she wants. He, visibly to anyone observant enough, loses some tenseness in his shoulders; he feels like he can properly breathe once the collar and tie isn't so tight. ]

I'm just trying to look proper for Master's sake.

[ And for the sake of keeping up appearances with some people who thinks he's actually a decent, proper person. ]

But I suppose not. Thanks, now it doesn't feel like I'm being strangled.

You're welcome. [She casually shrugs.]

So, we doing this? [Her head gestures towards her hands which she's still go up, waiting for him to get into position.]

It seems we are.

[ He doesn't have to think about where his or her hands are supposed to go, and simply slips his hands into the right hold for the type of dance that goes with the music being played. ]

...Actually, yeah. [Most people went for the hip, but he knew to place his hand higher. It was a nice, strong hold.]

But you gotta listen to the music too. [She grins, pulling him forward to as the music starts.]

[It was rathering interesting seeing Obi in this setting. He always seemed like a more outdoorsy, less fancy type of guy. Yet here he was all cleaned up and dancing, like he was familiar with it all.]

Actually?

[ He might be more surprised than her. Might. But maybe not. He knows how to adapt to a situation, and how to shed a persona or attitude like he's an actor shedding a mask. And while he's not entirely comfortable in formal situations, he finds that it's not difficult to slip into the role of someone who has no problem in accompanying a lady for a set. It seems just as much instinctual as fighting does. Strange. ]

I guess that is a pretty useful thing to do.
