[Celty shifts, shoulders squirming a little as she mulls over things as indecision gently flows back in like water finding cracks in the pavement. But then she turns her attention to the way everyone is moving on the dance floor. And the one offering her the invitation isn't that bad to look at either. Thanks for the advice Wendy.

Now here’s hoping they won’t start with the hardest one, like waltz

[ It’s just a poke, his voice easy, teasing. He’s confident that he could lead some simplified abridged version of it, and even if not, there is always the magic of improvisation. He’s just holding up the small talk to see how other ways Celty can respond-

You don’t interact with beautiful woman without a head everyday. Or ever. What can’t be read from the non-existent expression, shows in body language. Fascinating. ]

[She does have her other ways to respond, her phone being in the small purse she has on her arm, fashioned from the same shadowstuff as he dress. But if they're about to be dancing perhaps now is not the best time to take it out.

She glances at him, the square of her shoulders helping to show where her focus begins and gives a quick little shrug of agreement. As the dance continues she seems to glance back at him a couple of times but mostly her attention seems drawn to the dance floor.

Maybe if she watches everyone there she can pick things up before it's her turn. That's her line of thinking anyway.]

It's not easy at first, but the most important is to match the basic steps. Everything else- [ how partners hold each other, how they flourish the dance ] -that can be improvised. But the steps are what follows the rhythm, that's why they're crucial.

[ While what he says sound very serious and well, intense, he's himself relaxed, and leans against the wall as he continues. Watching the dancers with a sharp gleam in his eyes, yeah he's trying to figure it out-- but then he realized he might have made it to serious to he offers Celty a smile. ]

In theory, I mean. It's not that hard as long as you follow the song. Don't worry, I got you.

[He hadn't gone overboard at all. In fact the expert tone he struck helped to calm her more than anything else. It was good to know she was with someone who knew what he was doing more than she did. And despite the challenge it represents she can hear the interest and fondness of it all in his voice and the confidence flows back to her.

[ Dancing is fun, dancing should be enjoyed by everyone. And really, perhaps more people would if they didn't see it as a competition or performance for others, but just an act of entertainment for themselves.

It seems the song is ending right on time, giving a short break for people to switch partners or vanish from the dance floor entirely. As first notes of the next one starts to ring, Caster makes a not overly formal bow and extends his hand to Celty ]
