[Natsuru makes a slight face as she sips from the wine glass, and it's unclear whether it's from inexperience with or an aversion to alcoholic drinks. Either way, it's not too strong a reaction. Just enough to be noticed, before she smiles and softly chuckles along with Maria.]

Yeah, but you're probably used to that kind of thing! ... I guess I would be too, if I'd been a professional idol like you.

[She's still getting used to being any sort of idol at all. That is, if CelePara really counts, since normal living people on the Near Shore still tend to overlook them. But here she is, still trying her best to be confident and own her successes, however small.]

You must have gone to a lot of parties like this...

[She's in awe of even the thought of coming to events like this on any sort of regular basis. It seems so glamorous!]

It does help to have experience with it. Doesn't make it any more enjoyable to have to do, though. [Maria offers a somewhat playful smile as she takes a sip of her drink. Natsuru's not wrong to say she's gone to a lot of these in her time, but it's been a long while that she's been here, and she's a little surprised to feel that she missed them.]

They're usually a little more lively than this one, but there's nothing wrong with something like this either. It's nice to have the chance to dress classy and not be judged for it.

[That plucks at the edge of her smile a bit - it doesn't bother her too much, but she has had people remark on the way she dresses normally like it's strange to take care of her appearance as much as she does.]

[Natsuru blinks, looking shocked for a second while she processes this. Dressing classy and being judged for it?]

That seriously happens?

[Another blink, and she seems to snap back to reality a little. Her focus is entirely back on Maria instead of a blank stare into the distance, at least.]

Like, with you? But you always look so incredible!

[She's made absolutely no secret about wanting to be a little more like Maria. Not so far as copying her, of course, but finding her own way to take care of her appearance with as much care and skill as her god does. Every moment Maria encouraged her or complimented her choices felt like a step closer to her own ideal.

Still, there are contexts to this sort of thing, as she belatedly realizes. Not sure if she should feel embarrassed, she tries to avoid looking it by taking another sip from her glass. And she makes another involuntary little face when the taste hits. It's not bad, just still unexpected.]

Well, I guess we wouldn't dress like this on a normal day. But you still always look amazing...
