[He goes back to his sweeping, and for a moment, it looks as though he's done talking altogether. But then he replies, voice a little hard.]
We have a duty to protect the people who look to us. And I think that means we don't have to kill anyone, just monsters.
[His shoulders slump a little as he cleans, and he drifts to a stop after a moment or two. When he speaks, his voice is soft, and a little sad.]
Not so bad if we don't have to kill anyone, I guess.
