But he's come along anyway, to keep up appearances (he is faking it with some people, pretending to be a person who doesn't prefer to lurk in shadows and cover his face) and he's even dressed up. And he's genuinely uncomfortable right now.
Still, he has soon made his way over to the food, and he's focusing on that. Making idle small talk is nothing that he will mind though. Still, he's not leaving the vicinity of the buffet tables anytime soon. ]

Midnight Disaster [ Obi seems to brighten up at the prospect of some action. Or maybe it's of killing something. He hates formal situations, and he's been itching to go and do something else and maybe get involved in something illegal or dangerous, maybe both. But dangerous it is! It's a great thing that he always carries like a billion hidden blades on his person. So he's one of those people heading out with a lot of energy - a lot more energy than he had at the meeting. Because this? This is what makes him feel good, at home, and comfortable with. ]
