Joscelin still can't see anything, but he decides to humor his mea--Gojyo. Why is he suddenly thinking of Gojyo as food?
The boy runs as fast as his abused lungs will let him move (which is still quite fast), but he hits the wall quickly. He slows to a jog and then stops, collapsing back onto his knees when the world tilts horribly and he begins to see spots. This really isn't fair. He didn't ask to die young and be stuck with tiny, undeveloped lungs forever.
"Gojyo," he says warily, watching his fellow shinki flail about with that silly half-moon poleax thing.
