Raising a hand, he gestured towards the dark path in front of them. On one side, the city: light from places that all housed different experiences and lives, most of them native to this new land. The other side held mostly darkness in wait for them; homes that were supposedly theirs yet also were most definitely not, unanswered questions, even more things to ask about. Maybe the company of friends. Maybe betrayal waiting to happen.
