Crafts

His days have been quite listless, so he was willing to remedy his inactivity wherever possible. Amaterasu's training sessions have supplied Akutagawa with a way occupy his time. Earlier, he was helping with the cleaning effort due to the aftermath of the Volcano. However, his interest was in exploring the abandoned temples. Seeing the various relics of the god's who abandoned their residences for safety or even because their temples were damaged beyond repair.

It was an exhausting day, so that's probably why Akutagawa found his way over to the crafts. He couldn't pass up a therapeutic session of calligraphy. He procured a spot a little away from the main group, where he could concentrate on the strokes of his brush. He sat on his knees, folding his long black trenchcoat underneath him. Delicately, he dipped the brush within a tray of black ink, while holding back the frilly white sleeve from his blouse. Akutagawa carefully applied it to the paper, making sure the ink doesn't splatter. He started with slow strokes before speeding up his hand. Once he's pleased with his work, he moved the page to the side and began another.

However, he realized that someone is speaking to him. Akutagawa paused to look over at Hope, spotting the origami crane in his hand. He scoffed as he mentioned that myth.

"Treat it as a fable, since it seems like an utter waste of time to believe it. If you must believe in such a thing, I think it works better as a metaphor. The dedication and laborious work required to produce a thousand cranes is what allows you to make the wish come to fruition. You've worked hard to achieve your dream that's a better message then that idiocy."

He then decided to set his brush down. Now that he's distracted, he couldn't really give his calligraphy the attention it deserved. "If I recall, you said you weren't of this world? Then, I'm sure you have similar traditions wherever you are from."
