[ Helping someone study... well, it's not the hardest thing, right? And Shiro and Pidge have had plenty of experience with exams, tough or otherwise. Besides, Pidge is the smartest person he knows--other than her dad and Matt--so this should be pretty great. So when he meets Pidge at the library, he gives her a smile before gesturing to the doors. ]

[Helping someone study is not what she would have picked as a prayer, but this meant hanging out with Shiro. That was always something to look forward to. So Pidge is here and ready to go.]

Sure. It should be over in a cinch.

With us at the helm? It'll be easier than that.

[ There's no shortage of pride in the way he says that, and Shiro opens the door for her. ]

[Daw. You're so sweet, Shiro.]

You know you don't have to be a gentleman with me.

[It's more a friendly jab than anything, though she does go ahead and steps inside.]

Do we know what the target looks like?

[ He laughs quietly. ]

I know I don't have to, but I'd like to.

[ He nudges her gently, then nods. ]

Yeah. You'll know when you see them, I'm sure.

[She nudges him right back before looking around.]

Maybe. There's a lot of people studying around here.

[A lot. Were there exams coming up for everybody?]

It looks like it's exams time.

[ Hm. He leads her to the back of the library where, sure enough, there's a kid with his head pressed against his books. ]

... That is... not good.

[She follows him and looks at all the struggling students. She doesn't really know what that's like.... Sorry, kids.

She looks ahead and stares.]

He's going to run the book that way.

[galrarm]

[ We can't all be brainiacs, pigeon. Shiro sighs. ]

His named is Yuki. [ He goes over and clears his throat. ] Yuki? We're here to help you study.

[ The kid looks up, and... uh. Has he been crying? Certainly seems so. ]

..... tell us what you need help with, and tell me where you got that book so I can grab a not cried on copy.

[Because wow. That's a way to ruin a book.]

[ What? I haven't been crying! Yuki insists, and Shiro sighs a little. He rattles off the title for Pidge, and Yuki tells her where it i. ]

Thanks, Pidge.

[Pidge does her best not to roll her eyes. She then nods and heads off to where the book she needs is, coming back a bit later with it and a few others.]

[ Yuki blinks... then his eyes sparkle. Shiro clears his throat, biting back a smile. ]

[ The cutie with the glasses is gonna help him... score. Shiro clears his throat again, and Yuki outlines the sections he's struggling with. Honestly, its... it's a lot. Whoops. ]

... alright, let's start with the least complex areas.

[Please don't call her a cutie out loud, this might end up with her punching this guy.

She takes some mental notes, and then writes down some things that might help in case Yuki needs it.]

I think I know which study guide might help with the basics. [Flipping through a book and... there! She shows it to Yuki.]

Try reading this and then applying it to the problem you're having trouble with.

[ Yuki reads over the study guide, and--

[She looks rather proud of herself.]

It's just basic deduction. If you can't find what you're looking for in your book, another one will have the answer!

[ Yuki looks at her in awe... and nods.

They work like that for a while, and Shiro glances at the clock. ]

We've been at this for a long time. We should wrap it up so Yuki can get a good night's rest.

[Pidge chimes in when she feels its needed, and nods at Shiro's suggestion.]

Yeah. Cramming right before a test can actually do more harm than good. A proper amount of sleep is important.

[ Yuki seems satisfied with that; the cutie is really smart, after all! Shiro pats Yuki on the shoulder before standing up. ]

You should be set if you keep calm. Just remember what you went over today and you'll be fine.

[Pidge looks annoyed as she follows.]

I am so glad he's going to forget we exist in a few minutes.

[ He smiles, though. ]

But we did pretty well. I hope he does well.

Yeah. So do I. If he doesn't, I'll be mad, because all that stuff he was learning was pretty basic...

I wonder if there's a way to check up on him, see how his results are.

[She pulls a piece of paper out of her pocket.]

His name, exam number, and the school he's applying to. Wrote it all down while he was busy.

[ holy shit. ]

... I'm really glad that big brain of yours is used for good, Pidge.
