Sure, she did expect something to happen with the turned heads of the other statues, hence why she warned Mordred so frantically, but even so she wasn't quite prepared to see one of her friends' lives being threatened right in front of her eyes.
She isn't too sure whether to be relieved or not when Mordred disappears instead of being smashed to a pulp. But before her brain can even settle on an appropriate emotion, Minako's body is already moving to crouch down next to the gap in the floor, trying to peer into the depths. ]
