[Closed] Tired Teals
Who: Tyzias and Stelsa
When: Feb. 23rd - 24th
Where: Themis’s Temple (Mount Justice)
What: Tired Teal Girlfriends, Studying Kanji, and Naming Shinki. Among other things that may come up later.
Tyzias had spent the last night searching through books that she’d pulled from her study. Up in her respiteblock, now in the late evening, she was going through them for names. Dictionaries between Japanese scripts and Alternian, which she’s sure now doesn’t exist anywhere outside of her hive and possibly Stelsa’s. Her shinki, still unnamed, was sitting dutifully beside her on the couch and was one of the two reasons for her diving into this. The other one was Stelsa’s shinki.
Oh sure, she knew how to name hers, but the name itself she didn’t want to just do by impulse, especially since the written texts of the two languages didn’t match up and so gave the tired tealblood an extra obstacle to overcome in learning how to read kanji. The other two scripts she’d found, in the form of two other books that had been set off to the side, she was able to read no problem, and yet this one continuously stumped her. It was frustrating, to say the least.
On the other side of her, using yet another book as a hard surface, she’d been writing down a list of names in both kanji and Alternian that she’d been able to puzzle out. It wasn’t very long, and most were as simple as she could get, probably, but each one had a meaning whereas for trolls? Their names just came from whatever semi comprehensible six letter sounds their lusus made when referring to them. Or upon first seeing them. Tyzias didn’t know the specifics.
There was also the slightly disheveled appearance of the chiton she now wore, though she’d only barely dipped into what it even was. Which, was the book she was using to write on. That was supposed to be additional research into this whole "ancient greek" theme. The chiton has been a large piece of teal and silver patterned cloth which she had to have her shinki help her put on, with all the strings and pins. One of those pins was one that bore her sign.
She hadn’t slept at all the previous day, but she was used to that by now, even with her blinking less often and staring at this one page for the past five minutes.

"Hey Stelsa." She hummed when she saw Stelsa wearing her outfit from yesterday, and then was very, very aware of what she herself had on. What must she look like, in Stelsa's eyes right now? All flowing teal and silver cloth, sandals, and hair done up in some kind of complex bun that somehow her Shinki had executed perfectly after reading over some step-by-step.
"It wwwwas that bad in there." This was said more as a statement, than a question. Tyias could sense what her matesprit had been feeling, and after so long had finally identified that that is what this was. Well, for the ones that she could actually feel instead of simply sense, of course.

She sighs and nods when Tyzias inquires as to the state of her temple. "You know as well as anyone that I don't give up on anything Zizi dear but that place is just UNSALVAGEABLE I didn't even get any sleep and I still couldn't fix it not that it would've helped any because they have this odd couch thing instead of a recuperacoon in there but I digress."

Tyzias shrugs, "Yeah. Wwwwell. I seemmmm to have been given a recuperacoon big enough for three." Or more. She hadn't looked at it too closely, but it certainly was big enough at least for two people and both still have room enough to be comfortable.

"And really oh that is excellent news dear really I never realized how bad the nightmares could get until last night." Stelsa shivers, only partially for dramatic effect. "They're absolutely terrible how do you even cope with them when you go on your study binges?"

Tyzias opens up the door to her respiteblock, falling over onto the couch with a groan.

That was also why she had directed them both past the Study. She wasn’t sure What her matesprit’s reaction to that would be.
