[The little girl's eyes go wide and she starts babbling about "real magic!" when the woman heals her scraped knees. After that, she doesn't need bravery anymore. She hands Joss the ring back and goes on her merry way, none the worse for her adventure except for a torn pair of tights.

And then she rounds the corner and forgets them.

Joscelin looks at her retreating back with an expression almost of...envy? Wistfulness? before he turns back to the woman and sighs.]

I suppose I should thank you. Carrying her home was going to be rather awkward.

[He turns away, but continues mumbling:]

She plays here often. Keeps hurting herself, too, in stupid, human ways. And she forgets me every time I help.
