Honestly, Ebisu can't say it's too surprising. From what he understands, a lot of the new generation of gods seem to be like humans who have been deified, at least as much as he understands such a thing. It could be that he's wrong... but that's what it seems most like for lack of properly understanding the bizarre turn the reincarnation process has taken.

At least it's an upfront sort of discussion... Ebisu could do more subtle discussions, but he thinks he likes these kinds of conversations the most: blunt and upfront.
