Multicoloured kindnesses, met by chance, one by one

[With a blanket invitation delivered, the only matter of business left is ensuring the temple is set up nicely for a gathering!

The main attraction of the day, of course, being flower-viewing in the temple's courtyard. With light snacks and refreshments lined up at tables inside the building itself and blankets and pillows available to pick up for lounging under the flowering branches, the 'viewing' part of the day should be set. As winds blow lazily through the area, blossoms in an array of colors are occasionally shaken free from the tree, falling in gentle showers to the ground below, creating a serene, relaxing atmosphere. A handful of paper lanterns have been strategically placed around the grounds as well, ensuring that anyone who happens to arrive or stay as the sun sets can still have a good view.

Elsewhere in the temple, the room Yuna uses largely for crafts appears to have spilled over somewhat. There are a few stands set up with origami paper, watercolors and brushes arranged at a table with a few chairs, card stock, glue, colored pencils, stickers, ribbons, and most importantly, there are flowers. There are flowers everywhere. Some arranged tastefully in vases, some dried and pressed and left alongside the other craft supplies, clearly for use in tandem with whatever you feel like making with the other things left out in such a tantalizing way. Go ahead. Make some stuff.

And, while the invitation had been extended to pretty much anyone wanting to drop by, should any of Yuna's friends decide to stay a little longer, she'll let them know of a cozy hot spring bath in one of the back rooms of the temple. Towels will be provided, of course, so why not stay and have a soak to wind the day down with?

The hostess herself will be roaming about the party in high spirits, ready and willing to top up beverages, share a snack, or just have a nice chat. So - kick back! Enjoy the sights!]

[Chris does her best to hide the disappointment in her voice, but regardless, she's going to try and pull Tsubasa along with her.]

But let's just look at the flowers already, senpai. Spending time together is more important than all that.

It's not like I'm doing anything else-

[ Yeah, definitely someone from the old world- He starts to unhurriedly demonstrate the steps, glancing and making sure the newly acquired pupil follows- but then he stops, and turns to her with a grin- ]

But I do have one condition. [ He could say that before he started the lesson... ]

[ Ovelia had leaned in to follow along, keeping her eyes focused on Caster's hands, but when he mentioned that... ]

A condition, milord? What sort?

Yeah, no problem.

[ Jen grabs a sheet of pink paper and goes through the process step by step, at Rita's pace. There's nothing in Jen's face or body language that says she feels superior for figuring it out on her own. It's origami. It's fun, and moments like this over it are great because they bring people together. ]

Yeah. She opened up her home to us. I bet she makes a great goddess to her followers too.

[ Jen is still new and a little on the "think the best of people" side of things, oops. ]

No more that- [ Sudden forehead poke! ] I'm no lord, just call me Caster.

[ Well technically his mother was a sister of the king, but excessive titulatures came a few centuries later. He's a simple man. ]

The tail was a surprise- [ Caster wants to chuckle at the supervillain comment, but it's kind of forced and dies quickly. Medb made Berserker like this, he is himself made by her. Turns out sometimes even dying can't force some people to leave you alone. ]

Sounds to me like you're quite fond of him.

[ The joke is that he's not that humble at all- probably makes delivering the answer easier. ]

[ Yeah he adds a dumb wink before laughing ] How's the party, having fun?

[Tsubasa definitely feels like she's missing something all of a sudden, she just isn't sure what. Still, she lets herself be pulled along.]

I must admit, I would not have thought you the sort to enjoy flower viewing. That's not a bad thing, of course.

[ Ovelia balked for a moment, before her cheeks turned a deep rose, ducking her head in embarrassment. ]

S-ser Caster it shall be, then. Forgive me, I meant no disrespect...

[Chris pouted a little. It was exaggerated, as if to show her she wasn't really that upset.]

Why does everyone act surprise when I like girly things? It's nice, peaceful...

[She pauses for a moment.]

Even a little romantic. It makes me feel good.

... I wouldn't go that far. I've only met him twice. I just... I dunno. I think I get what he's about? At least, I don't think he's the sort of person who's bad by default.

Oh you're miss Yuna's shinki! [The one that Yuna had been trying to win a prize for! Romeo's glad to finally get to meet her. He shakes his head though, with a grin.]

I'm Elfnein's shinki. Miss Yuna helps me with training a lot and we play kites together!

Not to mention definitions of "bad" and "good" can differ depending on who you ask. [ Ah yes, the "grey" look. ]

I'd like to hear about that tho- so what is he about?

Hmmm... [ Caster taps his chin as he looks at the kitten, then at the Elfnein's crane- the cat he made is of a similar difficulty level of a crane, maybe even with few more steps. But there could always be- ]

Oh, I know! Let's start with something for warm-up. [ He gets paper and demonstrates making a simple cat-head

It does need a finishing touch of a drawn face with markers tho ]

[ That doesn't sound like disrespect but like too much respect. Also, she got him, he should have asked to drop all formalities, not just the milord part.

And thus he got ser'd. Such is life ]

You just won't give up, huh? [ He chuckles softly. That is an admirable trait ] I'm not that big on formalities, you see. But fine-

[ He absolutely can play this game. And so he finishes the rose- maybe he'll have to make another one again, since that demonstration just got sped up so he can offer small paper rose ]

O Lady Rose-Maker, does this result please you?

[ That was a reaction even better than he wished for. Now he's just laughing aloud, s-sorry ]

I'd rather you not, I like keeping them as a pair!

[ Then he gives Mordred a pat in the shoulder, his hand staying there. ]

Already tired from the festivities?

[ It's his way of asking if everything's okay. There was some damn introspection happening here moment ago ]

[ Ovelia gingerly took the offered rose. She'd tried to pay attention to what he'd been doing, but the conversation about formalities had distracted her, and yet she still smiled, if a bit weakly. ]

Ovelia... My name is Ovelia. And thank you, for this. I feel these would make a lovely crown.

Ah, my mistake. I should not generalize. I guess it is refreshing...

[She stops for a moment and blinks hard. She glances at Chris for a second as she says that last thing, then back ahead.]

...well, if it makes you feel good, that is what matters.

[ Elfnein had been making mental notes the whole time that Tsubasa was folding the paper. Taking a piece of paper she started to fold it the same way Tsubasa did, though it took a bit longer then the one that was shown. ]

This seems right?

[ The flower didn't have the hard edges that Tsubasa used but it still looked like a flower. ]

I think I can do that without any problems.

[ Elfnein is following every step that Caster did, and a few minutes later there is a cat without a face. ]

[ Mordred's way too distracted and doesn't even hear Minako approach or register her presence at all. It's only the blur of motion from the hands closing over her eyes that snaps Mordred back to reality. Her hands snap up instinctually to grab the wrists of her would-be "attacker" and a moment later she's throwing Minako overhead without even realizing. ]

Nice try you bastard but there's—!

[ Yup, she's only just now seeing that flash of familiar blonde hair fly by but it's too late to stop herself from tossing her BFF down the stairs. ]

Uh. I guess... he just sees himself as a fighter. I don't think he really gets enjoyment out of anything else. It makes him reckless, but... well, I guess I can't really criticize someone for that.

People'll surprise you, ya know. I'm not all loud music and action movies you know.

[She smiles a bit wider when she notices Tsubasa's glance.]

Of course, good company is what really makes it special.

[ Maybe this was a bad idea.

Not that Minako has much time to consider that idea, because one moment she's behind Mordred, all smiles, and the next moment she's suddenly taking an involuntary trip through the air. And then over the stairs.

It's only thanks to her quick reflexes and subconscious sailor soldier instincts that she manages to turn the fall into a slightly better roll at the last moment, so she doesn't end up breaking her bones, but it still means she ends up lying miserably at the bottom of the stairs.

And groaning. ]

Wrong answer.. [ She sounds a bit out of it, but that's what getting thrown around does to you, huh. ]
