Multicoloured kindnesses, met by chance, one by one

Who: Yuna and EVERYONE. No CR? No problem, drop on by to make new friends!

[With a blanket invitation delivered, the only matter of business left is ensuring the temple is set up nicely for a gathering!

The main attraction of the day, of course, being flower-viewing in the temple's courtyard. With light snacks and refreshments lined up at tables inside the building itself and blankets and pillows available to pick up for lounging under the flowering branches, the 'viewing' part of the day should be set. As winds blow lazily through the area, blossoms in an array of colors are occasionally shaken free from the tree, falling in gentle showers to the ground below, creating a serene, relaxing atmosphere. A handful of paper lanterns have been strategically placed around the grounds as well, ensuring that anyone who happens to arrive or stay as the sun sets can still have a good view.

Elsewhere in the temple, the room Yuna uses largely for crafts appears to have spilled over somewhat. There are a few stands set up with origami paper, watercolors and brushes arranged at a table with a few chairs, card stock, glue, colored pencils, stickers, ribbons, and most importantly, there are flowers. There are flowers everywhere. Some arranged tastefully in vases, some dried and pressed and left alongside the other craft supplies, clearly for use in tandem with whatever you feel like making with the other things left out in such a tantalizing way. Go ahead. Make some stuff.

And, while the invitation had been extended to pretty much anyone wanting to drop by, should any of Yuna's friends decide to stay a little longer, she'll let them know of a cozy hot spring bath in one of the back rooms of the temple. Towels will be provided, of course, so why not stay and have a soak to wind the day down with?

The hostess herself will be roaming about the party in high spirits, ready and willing to top up beverages, share a snack, or just have a nice chat. So - kick back! Enjoy the sights!]

You and me both. Whether I've fought before or not, I have a long way to go if I'm going to keep up with you.

[Rita politely doesn't comment on Tsubasa having clearly overworked herself and then paying the price; her partner's got a larger share of work, so of course that's natural. Instead she looks up into the falling petals, silent for a moment.]

Not just fighting, either. I need to figure out what to do with myself...

[Hm, of course. That's an issue, and she's not ENTIRELY sure how to solve it. Helping to find a direction for Chris was easy enough. She's known Chris for awhile, she knows her life, she knows her interests, no matter how much the other girl may obfuscate them.

Rita? All Tsubasa knew was her death, and she couldn't say anything about that.]

...well, should you need any assistance with that, I feel like that's what I'm here for. Has nothing caught your interest in the last couple weeks?

I mean, that's a lot to consider. Sure, I've seen people do things, I've read up on things, but... what do I want to do? Other than "go home", which isn't an option?

[She holds out a hand, and a single petal falls in it, before a gust carries it away. Her gaze follows it into the distance, before she gives Tsubasa her full attention.]

I wanna help people. Beyond just how Heaven itself works, I saw what happened at the festival with my own eyes. I didn't want to just walk through the damn festival watching others pitch in, and yet that's exactly what I did. Everyone needed help when the ayakashi started going crazy, but beyond getting to you, I couldn't protect anyone. And you and I both know it won't be the last time.

[She listens, and just takes it in. She observes her actions, and the tree, and just... listens. She keeps her expression neutral, and finally nods.]

I understand.

My grandfather wished to mold me into nothing but a sword. A weapon. A sentinel to defend Japan, and his own interests. To just fight is not satisfying. It's noble to do so, but it is not a life in and of itself.

So... I sang. I still sing. I can make people happy that way, and joy can help people through the things they are left with when the battles have ended. Likewise, S.O.N.G. expanded their activities to cover rescue and disaster operations. We all needed... more.

What that is for everyone is different, of course. It would seem Yukine is beginning to find her goals align a lot with my own, but I wouldn't expect that was the same for you.

You may not find that immediately, but you must keep looking. [She smiles.] In the meantime, the both of us have a lot of work to do in order to do half the good I could with my songs back home. You at least have a sharp mind, and I feel like if you learned you could help keep me in line, there.

[Rita sits, and she listens. Tsubasa is... more worldly than her, even without the whole not having memories thing, given her work with her crazy government agency and having saved the world more than once. So her arguments carry more than a little weight. She takes a bit to digest that, before she answers slowly.]

I don't think my goals would have went that way either. But, well, I can't just look out for number one anymore. There's no point in that, since I'm... you know. So I may as well keep everyone else safe, right? If that doesn't work out, I'll figure something else out. But right now, that's what I want to try. Do some good, make some friends, and maybe I'll start to feel like myself again.

I'm willing to learn whatever I need to. I don't want to just sit around anymore. I don't know what I can do to help you, but... something will come to me, if I keep looking. That's what I have to believe.

[She smiles after a second.]

Lemme hear you sing sometime, all right? If it's that important to you, and it makes people happy, it must be nice. It's one thing to hear it when we're fighting for our lives, but I can't exactly enjoy it then.

Ah, if you want to hear that, I believe there may be a very good opportunity very soon. There are ... other things involved. [Such as Hibiki Shikyoin's whole ...... self. And event.] But it's a good way to get myself started in this place.

That's sort of in regards to what I'm thinking, at least. As much as I'd like to handle everything on my own, I've known for awhile I really can't. I'll need... an assistant, at least for a little while.

In the meantime, should you find anything of interest, I'll do whatever I can to help with it. I have had a lot more time on my hands in this place than I'm used to.

I'll be looking forward to that, then. And, uh. [There's a brief moment of hesitation. Should she offer...? Well, whatever, if they're having a moment here...] If you need a hand with things, maybe I can help? It'd be something to do, and I'm sure I could learn something in the process.

And if I do find something else, sure, I'll let you know if I need a hand. I'm sure you have other things to do, but I'd appreciate the advice.

[...In her head, she'd expected to have to force that out a little more. How strange.]

[Tsubasa gives a soft chuckle.] That is... basically what I meant. Sorry, I'm a little less adept at getting my point across with normal people, I guess...

[Funny, for a sword.]

Yes, I would gladly accept that help. I can at least tell you what I know, even if it's mostly from observing my manager back home.

As I said however, I have a bit more free time here than I am normally used to. That shouldn't be a problem at all.

Don't worry about it. I think I'm just being slow. I'll be counting on you, though - hopefully your manager back home was good... Ogawa, right? Otherwise we're going to be in a world of hurt.

I think we're both going to have a lot of free time, though. If I don't find something I'm gonna go nuts.

[But she smiles to make it at least a little clear she's joking.]

He was extremely good. [When not putting her on variety shows. Even if that did expand her image.] I am not expecting too much, just.

Some assistance would be nice.

Yeah, sure. I can try and help you out. It's not like your legions of fans will take offense if I do something wrong. It, uh. [A pause, and a grimace.] It just means you won't have legions of fans. No pressure, right?

Well, no. I do not yet have that, here.

[An ominous pause.]

Yet.

Give it time. I'm not gonna promise a sold-out show on the Near Shore's biggest stage, but I think we can get to T-shirts and benefit shows, easy.

[She chuckles, only a little nervously.]

Probably.

Mmmm. No, perhaps not yet.

[She perks up.]

That is, after all, why I shall be seeking Shikyoin's assistance.

Yeah, but she's more a performer like you, right? She's still not really on the business side. Probably has more connections, though...

Well, we still have to start somewhere. Keep me posted, all right? I wanna do something. And who knows? It might even be fun.

Well, she seems to be running something. All I can really do is try, and it is best to start with someone who's foot is at least in the door.

[Even if she's sure Hibiki is a little beyond that.] But, I will.

And honestly, it's probably the thing I find the most fun.

I guess that makes sense.

And, uh. I hope you have a lot of fun doing it. [A breath, a small hesitation, then a smile.] I'll be rooting for you.
