It's not clear if he ever used the paper in the interview room for its intended purpose.

Have you heard of Yao Tu Li? No? I would have thought that word of a demon so fearsome would have reached even this place. Perhaps the story never spread because the creature was too horrifying to speak of. Perhaps I shouldn't speak of it anymore, either...
