[To demonstrate the answer to that, Shun brings a curled fist around the back of the head of his own bird, and only then extends his fingers to rub the back of its head.] Make sure it's not going to mistake you for food. Wiggle something that looks like a worm in front of a bird's face, and naturally it's going to try to eat it.

[They might be trained, but instincts are hard to get rid of when it comes to predators and prey.]
