It seems likely given how settled old shinki are with their gods, but a minor god can disappear just as easily as a new god. Would an old shinki consider serving a new god given the choice? Or are they more likely to try to find a god of their generation to serve? There's also the fact it doesn't seem like any of the new gods have named a wandering soul as the old do.
