There's no judgment in his voice as he says it. He understands that some people aren't used to certain things. Love, unconditional support, warm things like that. And it's sad... but for some, unavoidable. It's something he wishes he could change, but some things can't, unfortunately.

He pauses. He should have expected the conversation to turn to him and his experiences with love, but it's still difficult. Shiro takes in a breath. Admittedly, he no longer has those feelings for Adam, but-- it still stings. He wishes they could have had more closure, but...
