Summary: FIRST-CLASS ENTERTAINME---er, training for extant gods and shinki

Determining which temple to visit for today's training is not difficult. For one thing, Apollo's Temple is setting off fireworks periodically to entice newcomers through its high, Hibiki-statue-flanked doors. For another, anyone leaving their own temples will find themselves immediately confronted with an adorable purple goat robot wearing sunglasses and a bow tie. The goat has a silver platform suspended above it, atop which has been set a single purple rose and a brief note:

I shall be maa-ttending you today. Follow me.

Said goat will continue to follow your character until they give in and do as the note suggests. In fact, even once they do, the goat shall accompany them for the duration of today's log, seeing to their every need. Ask the goat to fetch something, and it shall be fetched. Ask the goat for directions within Hibiki's castle - "Where is the god training?", "Isn't there an amusement park in here?" - and guidance shall be provided maa-ccordingly.

It seems, today, everyone will receive a full Celebrity Maa-xperience.

[ God Training (but ota who wants to talk to Hibiki) ]

[ Hibiki is in her office. That's what the goats with the soccer and the book have been guarding: just her office. Where she's sorting her dolls into their boxes again, or sometimes getting up, heading over to her window, and staring out at a combination of her own reflection and the pirate ship beyond.

Soon. Soon.....

......Is there a clamor out in the hall? ]

[ Self-Improvement Training ]

[ Hibiki is watching everyone "train" through her spygoat camera feeds. She finds the improv sessions of particular interest - who finds themselves attracted to acting? Are they any good....?

She sits up straighter on her throne as a new set of contestants take the stage.

In short, if you'd like to do improv without NPCing the judges' reactions, drop the thread here! Hibiki and her "judges" shall maa-blige. ]

[ Rest & Refreshme-----HIBIKI, NO ]

[ Those who had the good judgment to stay aboard the pirate ship come dinnertime will, indeed, find the vessel upon which they stand lifting off into the air, sails unfurling above them. What had been a routine (?) training session appears to have just been hijacked by pirates.

Then, light stabs through the scene. A spotlight from a drone ridden by a spygoat illuminates the very top of the mast. A lone figure stands there, cape flapping in the wind. ]

Beneath the flag of revolution, I live in grace!

[ Hibiki poses, yards in the air above everyone. ] The course a god tracks through this scrap-heap puniverse is stormy. Yet no tempest fails to yield to the Sun. I shall ride the forsaken waves of destiny, pointing my prow at the future alone.

[ She pauses to look out at the horizon. Deeply. Meaningfully. Then she continues. ]

Now, behold. As I swear to you. The ones who form the mightiest treasure in the puniverse, worthy of plundering by pirates - are you. And the one who has stolen this treasure, who shall illuminate the Near and Far Shores, with her own two hands, guiding all safely to harbor -

[ Unreeling a purple rope from her sleeve, she swings down to the railing in front of the wheel. Her cape is tossed away, revealing her to be dressed in what cannot be denied is a very Hibiki pirate costume. The other members of CelePara Talent Agency appear behind her. More spotlights, from nowhere, illuminate the scene. ]

IS I!!

[ The ship begins a lazy tour of the Far Shore's sky. And Hibiki begins a song and dance routine, broadcast on either side of the ship so even if people's vantage points on her up here isn't great, they can still see every step. Her steps are inspired by flamenco, with a little ballet and general showmanship thrown in for good measure.

The surroundings change as well. Hibiki may not be able to teleport everyone to the Near Shore - that's beyond even her. But she can project the illusion that the ship is traveling through space, past phenomenal wonders, zooming in on the Near Shore - but a Near Shore populated by the ancient world, not the modern one. A Near Shore where they might still all worship Apollo.

A Near Shore where, as her Making Drama begins (this is still a PriPara routine, there is always a Making Drama), they soar over each of the Wonders of the Ancient World. And with a flick of her hand and a scattering of sparkles - Hibiki transforms each into a giant, shining, golden Hibiki statue. ]

[ After that, all that remains is to change into her neon-spangled Super Cyalume Coord and close out the routine's last refrain - kicks, spins, a final pose where Hibiki adopts the posture of the Hibiki statues with them all looming beneath her, the members of CelePara draped in adulation on either side of her. And above them - a banner unfolds in the sky, rippling. ]

[ Don't look now. But Hibiki just used the training log to scout for her next Grand Entertainment.

This is fine. ]

[ Rest and Refreshments ]

[ Hibiki can be found at the ship's wheel, after the show. True to her word, she is a firm and rhymical hand on the wheel, steering the ship through the Far Shore's sky without incident. From the sky, the Far Shore provides quite a show in and of itself, what with everyone's eclectic temples.

There is no possible way anyone, therefore, could object to being stolen as treasure by this pirate (who did promise to bring everybody back...eventually). Or would seek to take it out on the god in question.

Correct? ]

Pre-introductions
It's not the first time Ginia has been to the amusement park of Hibiki's temple. Though she usually enjoys the rides, today she's strolling around the area and people (and goat) watching. There's a contemplative air around her as she watches the rides. Sometimes she strays a bit toward the entrance of the ride, but doesn't allow herself to go much further before walking away. To anyone who knows her a bit better or is otherwise more attentive, there's a sense of tiredness around her. Not only from a lack of sleep, but something deeper weighing on her.

If there's someone in the area, she'll give a polite smile and a nod in acknowledgment. "Going to go on the ride?" She'll ask through her phone, gesturing to the ride.

Spell Training
With Wendy handling things and no new arrivals as far as Ginia can tell, she doesn't set up an information table. However, still wanting to make herself available as a resource, a short text message is sent to all shinki (and perhaps even a god by accident).

If anyone wants advanced training in spells or borderlines, feel free to contact me. I know mend, bind, umbra, silence, song of fire fighting, and song to ward lightning.

She'll reply to any return text messages or anyone who approaches her while she's at shinki training.

Shinki Training
It's been awhile since Ginia has participated in the physical portion of shinki training, but today she dives into training with a fury. She's fast, incredibly well-balanced, and dexterous as she tackles the obstacle course with the full range of skills without holding back. Borderline barriers flash in and out as she uses her own as walls and platforms to leap off of, taking advantage of the lightness shinki have to slow herself or build momentum by releasing it at the right time. Any borderline attacks that come her way, she retaliates with all her power, slashing through barriers or countering with attacks. It's a personal test and whenever she finishes a run; she dives back in if no one else is waiting or tackles another obstacle. There's a single-minded focus bordering on obsession or punishment.

The easiest time to catch her is between laps when she pauses for a brief water break or when volunteers are needed to create borderline obstacles on the course. Or be one of the ones throwing a borderline her way.

R&R
Ginia keeps to herself on the deck, slowly working on a plate full of food and a cup of tea. The food is mostly untouched as she studies something on her phone, a pad of paper and a pen in purple and gold (thanks, goats). She whistles - Song of Fire - as she studies, jotting down what looks like a list of cities. If someone sits down at the spots next to or across from her, she might not notice right away, startling when she does or if someone gets her attention.

"Sorry, didn't see you." Ginia forces a sheepish smile and gestures at the deck. "It's definitely an interesting setup today, isn't it."

God Training

[Goodness gracious, is this onboarding or is this High Tea? Waver, half expecting someone to jump on him to throw him out because he's been kicking around the Heavens as a shinki until nearly two weeks ago, waits. And waits. And waits. For someone to take the stage, or pull him aside privately to explain his duties and responsibilities and whatever else Iskandar wasn't able to cover, because as far as he knows, he's the only new face in here.

The tea is excellent, though. As are the sweets. Worthy of the Savoy (though thoughts of tea at the Savoy brings too many bitter, and not enough sweet memories to light). Hibiki has taste not even Mages like Luvia could ever find fault with, and presentation to match.]

Do you think she'll at least provide a pamphlet if I ask?

[With a touch of dry humor, because his first day had involved a bloody blow up over the shinki pamphlets and to think back on that...

... still aren't fond memories. That had been a hell of a day.]

Shinki Training

... bloody hell. I feel like I'm at Piccadilly.

But he knows why he's here. To not become ayakashi food. Even if he's cringing internally because there were reasons he wasn't great at gym and the whole thing still feels ugh. Reasons that don't all apply now he's a Servant (and there's conflicting feelings of enjoyment out of now being capable after a lifetime of being frail), but co-ordination and physicality and all things fighters have years of training in, Waver has to continue to learn from the base up, despite what his stats say.]

Is that a tightrope?

... how do they fly? Is it the same principal as being taught here to shinki? Has he gotten over his head?]

[Considering how Shun typically gets on with Hibiki, he can figure the kind of "experience" he's going to get if he enters the normal way. Which is why some might notice a slightly ajar window near the top of the castle, moving conspicuously back and forth as if someone just went through it.

Shun, for his part, is doing his level best to avoid the hell out of anything that looks like it might end up running video of Hibiki, but in the event he has to cross paths with anything, the speakers seem to...warp and garble to the point of being unintelligible until he passes through, at which point they return to normal once he's out of earshot of them. His remark on it doesn't leave too much to the imagination on who caused it, though.]

I don't know whether this is exactly as bad as I was expecting or worse than I was expecting.

[b: shinki training]

[There is absolutely no other variant of training that Shun is willing to take part in operating here right now, so when he finds the part that's being run by Wendy with some modicum of sense, he takes it as a reprieve. Even if that reprieve happens to be something that'd probably be an absurd challenge to most other people, Shun takes it with no hesitation.

He can be found on just about any part of the course, going through it with smooth motions and skilled acrobatics, occasionally with a bit of extra spin or turn that might seem unnecessary but ends up playing into something further down the course, an extra bit of momentum or correction of an angle or something. Though he finds the trapeze a bit excessive, he does surprisingly well with it for someone who's never had reason to use one before, working out the trajectories and even managing to flip over to catch the second one with his knees instead of his hands before flipping back up onto the second platform.]

I wonder if this sort of thing is what they used to train in Standard... [Yuya had a bit of a circus obsession, to put it lightly, and the people from Standard he's had to work with have been solid enough in their athletics.]

[c: the part where shun just ditches and finds somewhere else to train]

[Unfortunately, even the obstacle course only keeps Shun occupied for an hour or two before he decides it's time to train something else, except...there aren't really the facilities to train in the kinds of things he actually wants to train in.

Thankfully, there's a good amount of open space in Central District, so after the morning, anyone who ends up leaving the castle for a breath of fresh air might notice Shun in one of the open spaces between temple grounds, currently in the midst of a spar with Kotori and the three soulless shinki he inherited that appears to be also focused on training their borderlines. That is, if the large number of them being flung around over here is any indication.

The three soulless shinki don't have the best aim at times, though, so those nearby may have a little dodging to do when one of those lines goes wide...]

[[Shun will be open to people joining his little sparring session by ways other than having a borderline fly at them, so if your character wants something more combat-oriented for a little while, feel free to have them approach him for that!]]

A - Shinki Training

[For all that Wendy has set up some pretty extreme things around here, well, there are easier things available along with the same ol' option of just practicing borderlines. So she bounces from space to space with a bright smile and wearing one of her more trademark adorable lolita dresses.]

[For anyone who's practicing their borderlines or exploring some of the more basic equipment like the trampolines, Wendy comes over with a grin.]

Having fun?

[Because if you're not having fun, she can definitely do something that will... Well. If nothing else, she'll sure keep people busy.]

B - Shinki Hell Training

[But for the people who are even remotely in the vicinity of some of the more challenging things such as the tightrope or trapeze? Wendy pops up with her hands "innocently" laced behind her, batting her eyelashes.]

Thinking of giving it a try? It's not as hard as it looks!

[This is true. It is often in fact much harder.]

C - Refreshments

[Occupied as she is with her training course, Wendy is only freed up towards the end when it's time for everyone to take a break. As Hibiki's shinki and exemplar, Wendy has a special seat up near the front where the empty throne is as she eats a light meal.]

[Why is it light? Don't worry about it.]

[Instead, Wendy leans around to ask anyone who doesn't have their mouth completely stuffed.]

So what did you think about it?

[Because it's going to get way weirder in like fifteen minutes.]

A - Introductions

[Most people only have one goat following them around. In contrast, Garry seems to have five around him at any given time, although only one really stays constant. Garry is sort of a known face, apparently, and it's easy to see why when he smiles politely and pats every single one that rolls up to him.]

[Listen. He goes jogging with them.]

Yes, it's good to see you too... You're doing a very good job.

[It's the least he can say to get them to go back to what they're supposed to be doing... Although that might not stop the flow for a while. He hopes that no one is getting interrupted by this, although people coming over to check out why there's a herd of robot goats around is probably pretty understandable.]

B - Shinki Training

[Garry has to hand it to the people who've been given the reins to training days: they're certainly doing some creative things. The video games at the last session were one thing, but a whole acrobatics room just for the shinki...?]

[Faintly, he wonders if Komaeda is having something as exciting as this, and briefly gets lost in his own head worrying about the idea.]

[However, he has to admit that it's a good idea in theory. Shinki do seem to be able to run a little faster and jump a little farther than most normal living humans are, so it's not bad to experiment with the idea. He tells himself that all the way to the ladder up to the highwire, and partially up it... before Garry takes a look at the height he's doing and immediately comes down.]

[SO. THAT'S PRETTY HECKIN' HIGH, ACTUALLY.]

[Once he's back at ground level, he keeps one hand on the rungs and one hand at his chest, looking queasy.]

Oh... That's far too much. That's really far too much... [Blinking, he realizes someone has come near.] Oh, I apologize. Was I in your way?

C - Rest

[After what was certainly some training, Garry is glad to take a breather... and at quite a lavish dinner that is definitely on par with some of the things that Heaven itself has thrown for them. With the very impressive spread that has been put out for them, he can't help but wander around a little bit with his goat in tow.]

[When he comes across someone else, he smiles to them.]

It's quite a lot, isn't it? Where do you plan on eating?

D - Relaxation

[WELL THAT HAPPENED]

[After recovering from the daze of... a lot of what was a lot of whatever that was, Garry manages to get over his brief bit of sickness to head over to the railings. He's never really been this high up in most places, when he think about it... and definitely not in the Far Shore of all places. And he has to say...]

My... This really is beautiful.

Introductions
[Recently, Shinji's been doing his best to try and get back into his typical routine - anyone who may be a little more eagle-eyed and punctual for training days may have noticed him missing from the last session entirely. As such, the new set-up of having new gods host it is a little surprising, but probably not as surprising as the whole... everything of Hibiki's temple.

Maybe if he had gone to the last one, he wouldn't feel like he's in way over his head? But, either way, he's pretty determined to not duck out early. No matter how. Uh. Much. This is.

He doesn't have a lot of interest in the amusement park itself outside of wandering the grounds with his designated comp-maa-nion and seeing what all Heaven has managed to squeeze into the temple's grounds. It's impressive! But the rides are probably too much excitement for him right now, unless someone were to twist his arm hard enough... But overall this, amazingly, doesn't strike him as a training appropriate setting. Imagine that.]

Shinki Training
[This is? More appropriate? But totally not something he would have expected to find himself doing today?

The lower-stakes equipment is definitely more up his alley, even if he's more used to the kinds of training that focus more on the unique aspects of the shinki system - spells and borderlines - than improving himself physically. His typical choice of training is not really what's on the menu for today, though, so he'll do his best to roll with what's expected of them.

Besides that, it's definitely a preferable task over the offered 'self-improvement training', so balance beams and monkey bars it is.

He's doing decently enough with the beginner-level equipment, and while he's not inclined to give anything more difficult a shot on his own, he does pause every so often to marvel at anyone else who is brave enough to do so themselves. Particularly impressive tricks are likely to get a,] Whoa! [of awe and appreciation from him!]

R&R
[With the lavish offerings for the day, Shinji can't help but recall the brief interaction he's had before with Hibiki, where he ended up making something simple for her on a day where Heaven had them grilling their own meals, and where his dish had been deemed as 'passable'. If this is the kind of luxury Hibiki's used to, he can see why his grade was so... mediocre. On the other hand, is this what he was expected to concoct with what they had been given?? He simply doesn't know how to feel about all of this...

Before Hibiki's grand announcement is made, he can be found browsing the selection in some kind of bizarre mixture of feeling both incredulous and impressed, but largely at a loss as far as 'what to start with' goes. The selection, truly, is more grandiose and more varied than he can contend with.]

Um, sorry, but... do you think you could you make a recommendation for me?

[No offence meant to his maa-ttendant, but he feels a little safer taking advice from someone capable of tasting the offered fare, rather than his mechanical companion.]
