007 | Clean Up Your Act

Who: Everyone!
What: Spring cleaning
When: All day April 15
Where: All around the Heavens
Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.

Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

In Summary:
  • Clean up your home
  • Help clean others' homes
  • Get the main hall clean too!
  • Hope no hidden magic jumps out
  • Seek counselling if you need it
  • Enjoy your complimentary dinner
  • Have fun~

She wasn't entirely sure if she should trust his judgment entirely. But... despite whatever lingering feelings she had toward Saïx, it wouldn't hurt to... start anew, would it? That was what this place was good for. Starting over.

... It would take a while, though.

"I think I'd like to meet him, then." Naminé moved onto another shelf, this time one a little closer to him.

Saïx nodded. "I'll pass that along to him later." He doesn't know Leo well enough to say if he'd be interested or not. But he can at least deliver the message and leave it up to him to contact her.

He finished with the shelf he was working on and moved to the next one, which was also a little closer to her, but he was still doing his best not to make her uneasy again.

If it hadn't been the mask, maybe it was his scar. He'd gotten a look at it in a mirror earlier and it wasn't something that softened his appearance. No, it paired with his build and the way he carried himself was quite an imposing sight. Add to the equation that she didn't know him, he could see why she was wary.

"Oh--if it's not a problem. I don't want to trouble you." ... Which was a weird, weird thing to say, considering. But Naminé tried her best, was trying her best, to separate this Saïx from the Saïx she knew.

Naminé continued dusting, shifting things around here and there. She came across a small representation of the moon, made of something that sparkled and shined. "Oh... this is so pretty!"

"It's no problem." Why would it be? Delivering a message when he has to go back to Odin's temple anyway, is no trouble for him.

Saïx had gotten back into the groove of dusting when he heard her exclamation. He turned away from his task and walked over to see what was. A small smile tugged at the corners of his lips upon seeing it. While the lower half of his face was covered with the rag mask, the smile - the joy - of seeing it was evident in his eyes. He had no clue why the little moon was making him so happy. It wasn't as if it was the real thing. It was just a trinket. And yet...

"May I?" he asked, holding out his hand, wanting to get a better look at it. He didn't want to lean over her to do so, that felt way too personal and while she seemed to have relaxed around him, he couldn't be certain she wasn't just hiding it well.

It was obvious to her why she felt drawn to it. She was the reincarnation of Selene, after all; she found herself sometimes gazing up at the moon like she would with an old friend. Funny, that they should be... bonding? Was that the word? She didnt' know... but something was happening because of the little moon she'd found.

"Oh--I don't mind," Naminé said, lifting the moon from the shelf. It was only a moment of hesitation that passed before she gently laid it in his hands.

"Thank you." After she set it in his hand, he looked it over more closely. It was a nice little trinket and certainly pretty. As much as looking at it made him happy, he was fairly certain it was because it was moon shaped and not because of anything else about it. A few moments later he hands it back to her.

"You should keep it. I don't think anyone will miss it." The room hadn't been touched in years. If it was something anyone cared about, surely they wouldn't have left it to gather dust.

Naminé watched him study it. Well, she wasn't surprised he felt some kind of attachment toward it, considering. Naminé wasn't about to let that on, though; she knew it wasn't good for a shinki to be reminded of his or her past.

"Are you sure? You seem to like it...."

"I do, but, you seem to like it as well. Not to mention that you were the one who found it." He shrugged. As much as he might have enjoyed having it, it was unfair of him to take it from Naminé.

She turned the little moon over in her hands, studying it. It was pretty, and it could fit well in her temple...

"Okay. Thank you. Ah--maybe we can find another one for you, in here...?"
