Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

No, no. The question you really need to ask is will they burn?

[...Bunnies, though. Axel has to admit, he finds himself weakening in the "burn them" department if they're actually bunnies. He eyes the bag again, and reaches out slowly to take it.]

[She has to stifle a laugh at that.]

Pfft! Will it burn? That sounds like the premise for a late night game show.

[She eyes the bag thoughtfully.]

But I guess if dust burns then so would they.

So when you say "dust bunnies"....

[Axel's reaching for the sack. He just wants to open the top a little. Just enough to get a decent look at one. Surely that won't be a problem. Right?]

[talkbirdytome]

[She nods.]

It's probably exactly what you're thinking. Careful, they're quick.

[She barely finished giving her warning before one of the buns tries to scramble it's way out of the bag.]

[It's a bunny! It's a weird hairy dustball with ears and legs, anyway, and it's leaping right out between Axel's hands as he frantically tries to swat it back down without dropping the bag.]

Oh, shi-- Hold this!

[He shoves the now violently wriggling bag back at her, spins around, and bolts after the escapee.]

Ahh!

[She fumbles to close the bag before any of the others escape.]

Hey! Wait for me!

[And she joins him in pursuit. The little dust bunny, now enjoying freedom once again, is running down the hallway manically. It leaves little smudges on every surface it touches. Those will be a pain to clean later.]

Oh no you don't, Thumper--!

[Axel's long legs are cutting the distance, but the bunny keeps flying back and forth from floor to wall with gravity-defying acrobatics. It jerks away from his grasp just in time twice -- three times -- and he hurls himself into a full-out tackle.]

[Hiyoko is not particularly tall, but she's a very good runner, and she closes the distance quickly. She comes running up just behind Axel as he tackles the bunny.

Thumper is not inclined to give up his freedom so easily and squirms and kicks with all his strength.]

Get him back in the bag, quick!

[Jeez, these things are cute but they're so annoying.]

Hold the bag open for me! I've got him -- ow! Quit that! [Axel leans away from a couple of wildly kicking dust-feet that just scored a solid smack to his cheek, grabs the squirming creature in both hands, and stuffs him firmly back into Hiyoko's bag.

He dusts his hands off, ineffectually. He's completely covered in a fine coating of grayish dust, with darker smeared footprints everywhere the bunny'd kicked him.]

Okay, so, tempting as it is to just set the whole bag on fire, why don't we go let these guys go way outside somewhere?

[She closes the bag and ties it tightly. It's still squirming. Hiyoko can't help but giggle at Axel.]

I did tell you not to open it.

[She's pretty dusty herself though.]

Yeah, as annoying as they are, I feel sort of bad killing them. Taking them outside is probably the best way.

Yeah, well, I thought I'd take a look. They don't look all that tasty, either, if you ask me.

All right, I'll take your dust bunnies out for you.

[He holds a hand out for the bag, grinning wryly.]

[She gives him an amused grin.]

I appreciate the help. Hopefully they won't give you any more trouble.

I know how to handle them now!

[Like, for instance, this time? Not opening the bag. Axel waves casually with his free hand before trooping out towards the door.]

[She returns the wave before heading back to start cleaning up rabbit prints. It got foot prints on the ceiling! Seriously how did it do that?]
