Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

[ It's just so damn tempting to kick out the leg of that table and watch Mr King Crab come tumbling down. He lets himself imagine it -- Hazel's arms and legs all going different directions, and that stupid voice crying out oh goodness golly gosh as he cracks his head on the floor.

[ In fact, he's just going to find himself a comfortable lean against this wall here, and pull out a second cigarette, that he tucks behind his ear. You know. So he doesn't have to waste any time when this one's smoked out. ]

The high falootin' muckety-mucks want to make sure this place gets shiny and clean, so I'm here to supervise.

[ Note: Gojyo learned all his Hazel-mocking language from thrice-translated westerns on late-night public access. True story. ]

Now sir, there ain't nobody who says that who ain't intendin' to have his teeth rearranged. [Weirdly, this is more exasperated than an out and out threat - nobody says muckety-mucks, leave him alone. What year is it??]

[ Gojyo just shrugs at that. ]

Take it up with Amaterasu, if you like. Pardner.

[ Yeah, this is so much better than knocking Hazel on his ass! He just looks so frustrated... it's great. This is what it's like to have some asshole keep popping up and bugging you -- get used to it. It's gonna happen a lot. ]

I'm just doin' my job. [ And speaking of... he points up to a spot on that top shelf (that he can't actually see, okay, but that doesn't matter. ] I think you missed a bit there.

Or: Gojyo earns another saccharine smile for that one, and without any further ceremony Hazel tosses the feather duster down at Gojyo's feet and takes a seat on the table. He crosses one leg over the other and leans forward to lean his elbow on his knee.

[ Oh is that how it is? Gojyo regards the feather duster at this feet and tsks. ]

They might be discussing the weather for as bland as he keeps his voice. ] You really should be careful about makin' assumptions. A man could lose a whole game on just one assumption.

He's made a paltry effort to look his bias in the eyes on rare occasions, so - honestly, what for this time?] Genuine question, hand to God. Ya got a list of grievances directed towards me, and we all gotta make some kinda peace with the things we've done.
