002 | Tokyo In Trouble
Who: Everyone!
What: Surprise! There's a disaster on the Near Shore.
When: Late at night (February 24, 2016) into mid-afternoon (February 25, 2016)
Where: The Meeting Hall of the Heavens AND various places around Tokyo
Summary: A nice little greeting for the new guests and an unpleasant surprise for the older ones~

A sudden, loud blast of noise persists throughout the entirety of the Heavens. It sounds much like a war horn of ancient times being played at a decibel that is meant to shake the very core of every being within its range. No matter how much you might try to block out the noise, it remains ringing in your ears deafeningly, and somehow you find yourself compelled towards the Meeting Hall - the place where you were first introduced to the Heavens and what you have gotten wrapped up in.
Anyone checking their phones will notice a large, bright red alert flashing at them - 'EMERGENCY! REPORT IMMEDIATELY!' It seems that the Heavens have taken to using modern technology for their messages as well.
Once you have reached the Meeting Hall, you will find that every wall has turned into a sort of television screen, displaying various streets and buildings in Tokyo, everyone one literally crawling with ayakashi both big and small. A voice that you recognize as Amaterasu's - though you would never be able to describe it properly - rings throughout the halls.
"We need your help, brave gods, loyal shinki. A rift the likes of which we have never dealt with has opened on the Near Shore. We must end the ayakashi who are harming our dear followers. Please come to our aid in this time of need."

Meeting Hall
The once garishly decorated Meeting Hall looks very much like the base of operations for an army at war. There are gods gearing up with shinki and man-made gear as well and plenty of gods and shinki saying prayers before they head out to battle. Everything you might need to make yourself feel safe during a fight has been provided, including every type of weaponry. But, of course, only shinki wielded by a god can actually destroy an ayakashi.
Counselling
In the main hallway, there is an innocuous door with a small, nicely written sign that reads "Gentle Counselling". Inside the door is a small room with a few sweetly smiling shinki inside who are willing to listen to your problems and answer any questions you might have. They are also here to help out any gods that are having a hard time dealing with knowing about how their shinki died and any shinki that is having trouble coming to terms with the fact that they are dead.
February 24
The rift that has opened is so vast that there is literally nowhere in Tokyo that you can go without encountering a rampaging group of ayakashi. Everything is utter chaos and there are creatures everywhere for you to fight. Let's just hope that you can get out of this dangerous battlefront mostly unscathed.
February 25
Towards the middle of the day, it will seem that the ayakashi are becoming fewer and further between. Things seem to be calming down a lot, though they are nowhere near normal yet, especially since the rift is taking longer to close than the Heavens would like. Fortunately, no new ayakashi have escaped into the Near Shore from the rift since this morning, due to a barrier that has been placed around it. Still, the ayakashi seem to be really hell-bent on getting away from you all now rather than fighting...

In Summary:
- There are a ton of ayakashi on the Near Shore that need to be destroyed.
- The newbies are getting one hell of a welcome as a result.
- Seek counselling if you need it!
- Go kick some evil ass.
- Comment to the first thread to get a randomly generated number of ayakashi to face.
- Mods will gladly play out any ayakashi interactions where requested.
- Try not to get killed~

...So...this is going to be a real fight, huh? [For someone who's normally concerned about other people's well-being, Yuya looks...a bit hesitant. It'll be his first time transforming, and he's desperately hoping that he'll turn into something as useful as Yuto's dragon form. Somehow, that takes more a priority on his mind than actually fighting.
There's not much time to worry though because the ayakashi are beginning to move onto the street they've relocated to. Yuya ends up taking a deep breath before looking between Yuto and Vector.]
Alright, we should get ready then.
[OTA]:
[There's a red dragon coming right at you, and it wouldn't be wrong to think that it's another ayakashi on the attack. Until--]
Watch out! [A boy's voice telepathically echoes out from the dragon as it jumps and body-slams into an ayakashi that was creeping up from behind.]
no subject
But when he turns his attention to Yuya, he gives his twin a concerned look.]
Everything will be okay. [He puts his hand on Yuya's shoulder and squeezes it in reassurance. Then his hand slips back to his side and he again looks forward with his usual frown.]
But yes. We should get ready.
[Only then he looks at Vector, waiting.]
no subject
Fine. If you have braced yourself, then get ready. Yuto, I want you to move towards the ayakashi already.
[There is a brief pause as Vector steps to stand next to Yuya as he gives the darker twin a meaningful look.]
There is little I can do for a dragon, so you will be mostly on your own. I'll take Yuya and stay nearby, so don't hesitate to call if you feel you're getting overwhelmed.

no subject
I know. [He knows he's not alone.] The same goes for you two. If you need help just call.
[He won't be too far away.]
no subject
[Grabbing Yuya by the arm Vector pulls him with him as he steps back, aware of the tail he doubts Yuto has figured out how to properly control yet.]
Let's get going!

Be careful, both of you.
[And with that said he's going now.]

animal on animal collision!
What-- Kuraha?
[ Said lion barely dodges the incoming dragon by a hair's breadth and lands on a nearby roof. Her attention is now on the dragon responsible for that save. ]
Thank you. Your timing was impeccable.
no subject
Eheheh, it's no problem! [He's gotten the hang of being a dragon now, so at least it wasn't a clumsy maneuver.]
You're a god, right? Would you mind making it disappear for me? My god's not around. [Even though he somehow has a good idea where Vector is.]
1/2
[ Thankfully, said ayakashi is still reeling from the tail thwack so that makes it easy prey. She's descended from Kuraha, the lion on standby near this dragon as she approaches it. ]
Saiki!
[ And with that, a giant broadsword appears in her hand. ]
2/2
This is the land of the rising sun
Your desecration shall not be allowed
Hear me, I am the god Bishamon
I now lay thee waste with the Saiki
And expel thy vast defilement
I cleanse thee!
[ There's a quick leap before she brings the sword crashing down. ]
Ruin!
[ And the moment she lands, the broadsword is back to rest on her shoulder and the ayakashi has "exploded". With her job done, she turns her attention back to the dragon. ]
I suppose that will do. Your name?
no subject
Wow, so cool! [Now reigning in his attention toward Bishamon as she approaches, Yuya sort of laughs through his telepathic voice before lowering his head down to her height. This is as close he can get to smiling in his dragon form.]
It's Yuya. Or do you mean my weapon name?
no subject
[ There don't seem to be any other ayakashi in the area so... she's just gonna allow herself this moment to get acquainted with this shinki. After all, seeing a dragon is a rare sight. ]
Aside from Kuraha, it isn't often that gods wield shinki that have animal forms. Did you just arrive?
option OTA
Just in time to fling himself to the ground, cover his head with his arms, and let out a shriek that shouldn't have come from a grown man.
And he'll stay there, even when the dragon is past him.
. . . he may not even get up. He definitely didn't want to.]
no subject
Hey, are you okay? Helloooo? [Hopefully he didn't just kill a god by scaring him to death. Is that even possible?]
no subject
Nope, looks like things are high and dry. He'll sit up, only to half scoot/half crabwalk away from the dragon. ]
Hnn -- hey? Oi, do you phantoms talk too? Or maybe you're something else?
[Everything is monsters.]
no subject
Huh? --Oh. Nope, I'm not one of those. I'm a shinki! This is my 'weapon' form....Heh, although I'm not much of weapon, right?
[Yuya shoots the man a big smile. An attempt to seem friendly.....................]
no subject
Uhhhhh you're more than enough for a weapon. You're a giant dragon, you know? That's good enough for Dr*gonball.
[He'll stand up and dust himself off, tapping one foot on the ground to fix a boot.]
So you can kill these monsters just fine, then?
no subject
[It's a lucky thing her wings are out, because she zooms out of the way just in time to make room for his body slam.
Wow... Talk about a close call. She adjusts her grip on her blade, allowing herself to drop back down onto the ground again.]
Amazing... Hey, thanks for the backup!
[There's another ayakashi creeping on her, but her grin doesn't even falter as she immediately spins, tearing into it with multiple slashes before quickly darting to attack another one. She knows her sword isn't enough to bring them down entirely, but it's easy enough to aim for limbs to disable until a god can clean them up properly!]
no subject
Well, it looks like you have them covered without me. Nice wings, by the way!
no subject
[That's all she'll reply with before she goes spinning and dashing through another crowd, ripping them to pieces with her blade. Her swordplay is impressive, but her footwork is just as impressive; even though she's moving without pause, the movements all flow together in what almost seems like a single motion, from a dash to a slide to a roll to a spin to a slash again. Each action melds in with the next, her momentum never stopping.
It's only once she's torn through another group that she'll pause for a breather, grin no less confident even through the slight fatigue.]
That's a nice form! How'd you do that?
no subject
Uhhhh...I don't know! Had my shinki name called and turned into it. My brother is a dragon too, so don't attack a dark purple dragon if you see one.
no subject
[Oops, here they come again. Seeing Yuya's problem, she begins moving nearer to him, trying to pull the ayakashi into his range.]
And-- wait a sec, so you mean that's your vessel form-?!
no subject
That yell is probably...very necessary, because otherwise Ren would have been happy to just going on staring at the dragon until it was almost too late to dodge. As it is, he only ducks long enough for the dragon to clear him. Then he's right back on his feet, watching the dragon do his thing with pure delight.]
Thank you, Dragon-kun! You're very good at this.
