Buffet
[ It's only been a few days since Minamimoto started hitting his research hard, but it's taken enough of a toll that it actually seems like a good idea to show up to this bullshit Heaven-sponsored event. He's not about to be participating in any meaningful way, of course, but a break will keep him from getting sloppy in his calculations.

Instead of being useful, Minamimoto is going to be boozing it up and meticulously arranging a plate of various shaped mochi in an aesthetically pleasing stack. It's a good break from the effort he's been involved in lately. Besides, something else is up, and it's just a function of time before he bothers to look into it. Vivid, elaborate hallucinations could be a real pain in the ass, but those weren't his focus right now.

That stack of sweets is beginning to become downright absurd, and he's showing no sign of interest in enjoying any of them.

Boats
[ Sho's sitting by the water, watching the antics of gods and mortals alike with surprising silence on his part. A few empty bottles of sake lie on the ground next to him, and another is well on its way to being another null value in the set.

There are measurable downsides to obtaining the power he has these days, he's learned. It takes a lot of effort to get the kind of dead drunk he's been aiming for. Tabooification was a process he hadn't characterized completely, but, while it seems to have amped up his recovery times across the board, it could be saturated with enough effort. There's a value in subtracting inhibitions here, it makes putting up with this trash easier and gives him a chance to think more freely about the problem he's approaching.

He'll develop the right system of equations for the ayakashi in time. For now, though, he's going to be pitching rocks in the river. It's downright uncharacteristic of him with the lack of ranting, obsessive heap building, or any of the usual markers of Minamimoto in action for now. It's just liquor and rocks getting tossed carelessly.

But he's pretty sure he's figured out the next step in reverse-engineering the code that made the ayakashi what they were, and the math is beautiful.
