Who: Hijikata and the Bad Idea Bears
What: Souji has invited Yamato over to Hijikata's temple! Because they're clearly going to be friends forever and should do friend things. Like beat each other senseless sparring. Also Hijikata is most likely Concerned.
When: April 23rd?
Where: The Hachiman temple
Warnings: Violent, obsessed little punks. Possible mentions of Hijikatas past Trauma Conga Line, so death of friends, death of family, tuberculosis is awful, lots of violence.

Souji has already decided that it's his mission to make Yamato feel better about things. Since they seem to naturally understand each other so well, it only makes sense, right? And he likes Ayumu already as well, and he'll be indirectly helping her out too, since she's the one taking care of Yamato for now (without reflecting on it, he automatically doesn't think of her as Yamato's God, not the way he defines it).

He also enjoys Yamato's company, and is really happy to have him over on a visit. This has manifested in a lot of giddy excitement which has been spilling over everywhere all day, and a lot of energy too, which he spends cleaning up and getting the ducks fed. He really doesn't like cleaning much - it's boring - but it's something that needs to be done, and right now he's even content in the chore, since it gives him something to occupy himself with.

Hijikata will no doubt have noticed his behavior, and Souji has of course told him that his friend is coming over, so it's not exactly hard to pinpoint the cause. Souji is certain that they'll get along fine, anyway, since he and Yamato are so very alike. That only makes sense.

Sooj and Yams wreck shit

[He's led Yamato around the place, wanting to show him everything. They'd circled through the gardens properly, saying hi to the ducks now that they've made themselves at home there, and gone through the tea room and the residential building, then the shrine, Souji talking and laughing in a lively manner all the while.

He definitely saves the dojo for last, sliding open the doors with a bright smile. Even though he honestly hasn't done that much training yet, there is something about it that just feels homely and comfortable to him. Besides, just holding a training sword had told him very clearly that he definitely knows how to use it.

Bouncing a bit nervously onto the balls of his feet and back, he glances sidelong at Yamato, unable to hold back a smile.]

I talked earlier to Cho-san, and he told me you were in charge of a kendo class. I thought... since he said you'd just been practicing outside, maybe you'd like to come here instead? There's plenty of equipment and everything.

No, okay. What with Ayumu and Axel being... whatever they are and making him uncomfortable, it's a prime occasion to come hang out at Souji's. ...Er. Even more. Because he sure does take every opportunity to come and visit, even if it's only for a few minutes. It's just so nice having someone around that truly understands him, and Souji is incredibly friendly to boot. Yamato's been wanting to meet Hijikata properly for a while, but apparently introducing himself before halfway moving in is just too logical for him. Or something.

That's why there's a training dummy in the middle of the hallway as Yamato sits down, laughing and playing with a bright blue duckling in his lap. Obstructing traffic? Him? Never.]
