Pre-hit and run

[There's a primal instinct that exists in most beings - a screaming, immediate trigger that punches the flight-or-flight impulse.

[That shrieking noise triggered that in Psyche. Her head jerked up from the book she was reading and she froze in place, heart leaping up her throat, listening for a long moment as the trees rustled around her. Then, she stood. She didn't know what that noise was but it felt...wrong, somehow. An animal, maybe? Or worse, more ayakashi?

[Either way, someone should go take a look. Immediately. She slipped the book into her pocket and quickly, quietly went towards the source.]

Post hit and run

[Psyche's boots rapidly clapped against the ground. Her eyes were focused, though there was a sharp tension to her movements.

[The ayakashi was gone. She couldn't blast her way through the ground but she tried going around. There could be an underpass or something, right? As she ran, eyes continuously scanning, a careful, charged blast of emotion built around her hand. Prepared for sudden movements.]
