[Shun might be walking to the door, but he glances back at the brief delay, and raises an eyebrow slightly as Ren catches up.]
What was that about? [While he's not particularly fussed about it, it seems a little odd. But he moves on quickly enough, pushing the door open for them both since he gets there first.]
How the hell did you end up with so many animals at your temple, anyway? I thought the kittens were enough. [He does remember there being quite a few kittens the one time he visited Ren's temple. Though to be fair, he'd been paying more attention to their conversation at the time. It all sounds a bit more cutesy than he would've expected...well, maybe not from Ren, but for his shinki to tolerate, at least.
At the question regarding Nekhbet's domain, Shun's expression tightens a little. Though he doesn't hesitate in responding, his tone is possibly even more firmly neutral than it usually is, like he's having to put in effort to keep it there.]
Nekhbet was apparently the patron of the original city of the dead in Egypt however long ago, among other things. These days, it translates into cemeteries. Funerary things. Some kind of association with selecting royalty. And being a patron god has a protective aspect to it. But it's mostly the first two things. [So he's come from ample death to govern over more aspects of death. He's used to it, but it's not pleasant.]
