He also grabs the blanket folded over the back of the couch and whips it open so he can drape it over her lap. In part, it's to help her have a bit more of a feeling of being covered; it can't be comfortable to be with a stranger in nothing but pajamas. He doesn't even think about her being dirty or having messy hair.
That settled, he sits down on the sofa across from her and laces his fingers in his lap.]
