[closed] what did the tree ever do to you?
Who: Saïx and Roxas
What: A conversation regarding what he read on Add's BBS post.
Where: Odin's temple
When: May 8th
Warnings: none?
[Seeing the BBS post and the things mentioned in the (public) threads within it had pissed off Saïx. It was not an easy task. Or at least hasn't been in his time here on the Far Shore. Axel going ayakashi was not just some freak accident. It was part of some god-forsaken experiment that Add had goaded Axel into, and Axel had goaded Roxas, the unwitting idiotic accomplice, into.
Saïx was smart enough not to put the full blame on Add - Axel was his own person, or had been when he was still alive. However, Add was the only one still alive and there that he blamed. That didn't mean Roxas was entirely off the hook, he wasn't, but Saïx didn't want to beat the ever-loving shit out of him for it either. Of course, going after Add would only cause problems for Leo. The last thing he wanted to do was blight his god over this.
So he heads outside the temple and finds a dead, but still standing tree, pulls out his claymore, and takes swing after swing after swing at it until his anger subsides. Chips of wood fly everywhere, littering the ground around the tree, and a few pieces even cling to his hair. Saïx doesn't notice the latter as he puts away his claymore and heads back into Odin's temple. Where he promptly runs into Roxas, who is staying there to hide out from Sora.]
You.
[He gives Roxas a stern look, but there's no animosity in his voice.]

He's just woken from another random nap when Saïx comes up to him and just utters that one word. It's hard to not suddenly feel very on guard.]
Yes?
[What did he do???]

Add's post on the BBS said you told Axel whatever it was that turned him into an ayakashi.
[Still a stern look. Still chunks of wood clinging to his hair. Still no animosity in his tone.]
no subject
Why does everyone want to know? I don't wanna talk about what I told him.
[A couple of the things mentioned apply to Saïx as well. So that is an even bigger no.]

[He needs to confirm if his division of blame that he's already decided upon was fair, or if he needs to re-evaluate it.]

[Saïx's gaze softens some, but not all the way yet. He's also not going to waste breath arguing that Axel was only an acquaintance of his. It still hurt to have lost one of the few people he knew at the time, after all, especially because if he and Leo had any practice they would have been the ones to kill him. But they fumbled and he escaped.
There's one more question he needs answered, one he didn't realize he had until just now.]
And knowing what you do now, you'd never do it purposefully to another shinki? Even if they got under your skin so bad that you want to destroy them?
no subject
No! Never! I don't want anyone to die like that!
no subject
[He pauses, debating on whether or not it's worth bringing up.]
Is it true you fought Add and nearly killed him?
no subject
Fought? It was one sided. His cat cube thing attacked, but that was as far as that fight went before his god showed up.
no subject
I wouldn't blame you if you had.
[He starts to walk past Roxas, but stops almost as soon as he starts.]
Have you had a chance to check out the hot springs?
