It's a good thing for Kuwabara that Gojyo's having the worst day ever, or that punch would have done a lot more than just knock his head back. But he's constantly being distracted by all the enemies around him.

He can see them out of the corner of his eye -- the crouching figure against the wall, the man clinging halfway up the wall, the faces chittering from the shadows. When he looks at them head-on they camoflauge themselves into trash and water stains and exhaust pipes, but he knows what they are. He is using his magic to disguise them, but he can't fool Gojyo. He ignores the boy with the ridiculous hair and flings himself backwards, trying to claw his way through the illusionary forest that's appeared at the end of the alley.
