Even Rin couldn't trust everything he said 100% and he hated that that was the case. He needed to be someone not only Sousuke could depend on, but other people as well. Having this prayer in the first place meant that there were others out there just waiting for him to find and answer. It all seemed too farfetched to be true, too ridiculous to believe and trust. But... better to be safe than sorry, right? With luck, the more of these tasks they accomplished, the more confident he'd feel in himself. Couldn't lead if he couldn't have that.
Still, the young god waited, not wanting to be too pushy. Sousuke had just as many, if not more concerns than Rin did anyway. Regarding powers, regarding memories and trust-- He had every reason to question and hesitate and truthfully Rin felt guilty for being the catalyst. Maybe exploring beyond the castle would have been a better a suggestion. Or if he was so keen on those big bodies of water, he could have tried to introduce him to the pool little by little to start. I just want to do right by you. That's what I promised.
In the end, with Sousuke pushing away from the railing and making his way back down to the foyer, Rin let out a sigh of relief. All right. It was yet another start.
"Thank you." He knew it was hard to consider and respond to at all. Another 'fine' another 'ok', made begrudgingly as if he had no other choice. It never failed to eat at him and before Sousuke reached the last step, the smile on Rin's face already vanished. He'd figure out a way to make it up to him. For all of this, for everything to come-- He'd do whatever it took to see Sousuke happy.
Rin held the door open and with his body turned halfway toward it he nudged his chin towards the outside world. "Then let's go... Yumeki."
