[He frees his arm from Ukoku's grip, and takes a hold of the other man's wrist to keep him close as he crouches to touch the ground. It gives strangely under his hand, fast at first and then slower and slower, as though it's all just a dense mist that grows somehow dense enough to support his weight.
He looks up at the light. It's further still. Maybe the mist isn't really supporting them after all.]
-- Can you sense anything in here? There's too much -- [He waves an aimless hand, then realizes Ukoku almost certainly can't see him in the darkness, and straightens back up.] -- too much static for me.
