[Lightning has finally decided that it was high time to do a prayer with her shinki. Natsuru is picked first since she’s the more skittish of the two, and it’ll be their gods first prayer as well. The prayer entailed helping a failing business get back into business. So, Lightning took it. Too bad the place seemed to be exactly what she didn’t want to work. Lightning loves to eat, but how is she supposed to sell sweets?

At least she has the amusement of sticking her shinki in an outfit that would detract from her own uniform.

Come one, come all to this shop and harass these two young women. Or just buy stuff and help them get through this.]

[ The outfit honestly reminds her of something Makina might wear during one of their concerts. It was certainly pink and enough! It's hard not to smile in response to Natsuru's own and takes one of the miniature cupcakes that have been offered her way. Vanilla with bright colorful sprinkles that smells (and tastes!) absolutely delicious. ]

Mm! It's really super good. [ Maybe she should take some home for Nightshade. ]

[Success! Natsuru's smile brightens just seeing Freyja's reaction.]

There's a lot more kinds in the shop too! We only serve the best.

[She gives the perky sales pitch with as much energy as she can muster. After it's done though, she seems to dial it down to a more even level.]

Do you come around here often?

It's my first time coming here actually! I'm pretty new so I'm getting to know my surroundings.

[ Which is putting it lightly. ]

Oh, me too! I've only been here for a few days. It's a lot to get used to...

[If she had a point she was building to in her advertising, she's lost it. It's nice just meeting another person who's probably as new to all of this as she is.]

[soothes]

Mm! It's very easy to get turned around here but I've had a lot of fun learning my way around. [ Sage nod. ] There's also a lot of colorful and sparkly sounds everywhere here.

[ It doesn't readily hit Freyja that might be an odd duck thing to say. Consider it because she's lived on a remote planet in a remote part of the galaxy her entire life. ]

Colorful... sounds?

[She blinks in obvious confusion. What does the girl mean by that?]

Very colorful! It's sort of hard to explain but almost every sound is colorful in some way but some have lots of colors and are harder to miss.

[ She smiles happily. ] But those are the best sort of sounds in my opinion.

[She doesn't really understand, but Freyja's genuine enthusiasm makes her smile.]

I see...

I haven't really looked around a lot yet. This is the first time I've been out of the temple much!

[soothes]

The same for me. It was hard enough learning my way around the temple and the grounds but it's also been really fun.

[ Even there was still a whole lot of questions. ] Plus it's great getting to meet new people.

Yeah...

[This is gradually shifting to a more personal conversation, which she doesn't really mind. But she might be a slight bit more awkward about it than simply making a sales pitch.]

Oh, I'm Natsuru! I'm here with my god... she's inside the shop.

[Which is one way of saying she's a shinki without outright saying so.]

Nice to meet you, Natsuru. I'm Freyja but I suppose my is Idunn too now.

[ Which is her own way of saying she is a God. Curiously, she glances through the window into the store with a small smile. ] So this is for a prayer then?

[She's learned enough in a few days to understand this Freyja must be a god too, like Lightning!]

Freyja-san... nice to meet you too.

[It's a relief that so many gods she meets are treating her as just another person. When she first got here, she wondered if there'd be an expectation of overly respectful or polite behavior. But most people she meets, shinki or god, seem to be pretty friendly.]

Yeah, the owners were having trouble drawing in customers. I don't know why... the sweets and stuff are actually really good.

[It's probably because of the location and lackluster advertising. But Natsuru's here to help with the latter!]

[soothes]

Really? Everything looks so cute though...

[ It's hard to imagine believing herself to be better than anyone else. She's not sure just what made her be chosen as a god over becoming a shinki like others here but she is determined not to change. Determined not to treat anyone else differently either. ]

It smells really good too. I'm sure you both will be able to help a lot!

It's really cute! I hope they can get a lot more customers... I'd like to come back again soon.

[The owners are really nice people, too. Natsuru knows she's not one of the living, and that she'll always go forgotten or unnoticed by most people of the near shore. But she wants to support them and their business, however she can.

Her smile growing more relaxed, she nods. Freyja seems like an easy person to get along with too.]
